Me too, I've been on medication for about 17 years now. Interestingly, since I stopped telling employers about it, I managed to get jobs.

Mine don't affect me all the time but when they do it can be quite overwhelming. Despite our new world of tolerance, I don't doubt for a minute that employers will avoid you if you use the magic words, 'mental health issues'.

The meds keep me just levelled out more or less, to a reasonable state, provided I keep within certain sensible behaviours (like not getting too hammered, or drink two days in a row, taking regular breaks to clear my head, not caring about things that mean nothing etc). But yeah, its a red flag of epic proportions on a job application (except in the civil service, which probably explains why so many people with Mental Health issues end up there).
