Are you suggesting all is, after all, fine at Fortress Selhurst? I made no such accusation, merely agreed with another post that we as the week in week our fans do not seem to have benefitted (yet) from the glorious Premier League and all it has to offer. The stadium certainly hasn't and the results are there for all to see

Ok then, apart from a poor strategical change in 1st team management, I put it to you what 'is wrong at fortress selhurst'? I implore you to tell us, or to dig to the bottom of it. Go on, dig.

A poor change in the singular you mean?

First off I don't blame Frank de Boer. I blame Steve Parish and the board for the lack of investments in this club in the Summer Transfer Window. 1 permanent signing and 2 transfer will not cut it. Now it will take a HUGE INVESTMENT to make our squad competitive.

Second, Joel ward CANNOT PLAY RWB/RM 7 games we've seen this and yet nothing is done. FdB and SP should've recognized after the Liverpool game in Hong Kong yet nothing was done. Oh Tete didn't sign with or Veltman find somebody else.

Third, ZERO depth at the Striker position and at the wings. It was eventually going to happen that Wilfried Zaha was going to get injured and the lack of depth at the Wings would be exposed. Now the exact same thing can and will eventually happen to Benteke if we don't sign at least 2 Strikers

Fourth at Palace a place we have relative depth our Midfield depth is EFL Championship quality. Of course I'm speaking about Jason Puncheon and James McArthur. Both wonderful servants to the club but there time has passed unfortunately and we need improvement there to help RLC, Cabaye, and Luka. If we cannot sell them, Puncheon and McArthur need to be coming off the bench plain and simple.

Fifth we need help in the Center Halve because Tomkins and Dann are not cuting it. We need Mamadou Sakho so we can play the ball quicker outta our defensive end into the attack with RLC, Wilf, Cabaye, and Benteke. Not to mention whomever we sign to give cover to Benteke.

Lastly we need to sign a Quality Goalkeeper. Hennessey isn't cutting it plain and simple.

Final thoughts I don't thing anything remotely like what I've described is even remotely close to happening. We're the only club that says to a new manager every time they come in take the Square Pegs and Pound them into that Round Hole. I don't think Steve Parish thinks we need a HUGE Investment because we bought 2 LBs and 1 CDM in January. I don't know how that helps at RWB, Wing depth, Striker depth, or even with a Goalkeeper, Oh wait it doesn't... S**T. Time to open the checkbook SP and the board FdB needs it or we're going down.

Thought to myself "another bonkers rant here so I'll read for a laugh".

Fair play for taking the time though but it does genuinely make me laugh otherwise I'd be straight down the nut house! you've summed up quite neatly what most of us can see and are thinking sowhy can't supposed 'football people' see this!

Maybe we don't know about the real money situation but what winds me up is there seems to be a lack of communication or honesty with the fans on this.

Bad times!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

All this talk about 'his' system?

What is that exactly?

Has he layed it out in a manifesto, or a booklet?

What 'system' does he really have to speak of?

He managed Ajax, with the players available to him, and Inter, and now us. This whole system thing grates me. As if he just had a higher calibre set of players, his system would suddenly work.

That is not a system! That is called inheriting a good team - look at Pep Guardiola now he is at Man City, even with a good set of players.

The same goes for FDB. Any good manager makes a system based on the players, not a system that is to good for the players.

Its a mess. Pullout Parish

You know, I know, Parish knows that DeBoer is simply not up to the job, many big name players do not make the grade,Bobby Charlton for example, great player,p*ss poor at Preston. We might be able to salvage our season with a Premiership proven boss.

A defeat by a Sean Dyche team next week will be salt rubbed into the wounds.

The players don't look like they believe in what they are doing.

The supporters have little faith in the manager and his decision making to date.

The club is in a mess.

Hard to see a way out of this one

De Boor is gone, I saw him with a glazed look in his eyes, it seems to have dawned on him that his is out of his depth, even Warnock was better. Best to walk the plank before its too late give the job to Sammy Lee. Buy Sakho, revert to a back four of Dann, Sakho, PVA and TFM. the rest of the team pick it self.

Please Mr. FdB, no more excuses. Our first half Saturday must be THE most pathetic, uninspiring effort in PL history ever. Little improvement last 45, but still let in a silly goal. Kelly trying to play himself out of trouble, Dann taking the linesman role instead of tackling and WH made himself look like a tiny kid coming off his line.
Feel sorry for Sammy Lee sitting there with the two main Dutch men mumbling together. System or no system, it is down to the gaffer to fire up the players. 8,6% of PL season already gone with no point, no goal scored and leaked on average 2 a game.
Think combination of Lee/Dougie and back playing the Palace way would at least give us a chance to avoid the dreaded R!

Thing is now for FDB is whether he sticks with his strategy and it pays off, or he can adapt to the failure and switches tactics. A good manager has to be able to fail but adapt on the basis of that.
Personally I think three at the back is a mistake and three games in its showing but if he can get it to work then fine. But he needs a result more than he needs to be right.

Its too early to say he's out of his depth but he does need to show that he isn't a one trick pony and instead has the ability to grind out a result or two (or show he can do something different with what he has).

We do seem to be better when reacting to going two down. Now is the time to show you know why and set out tactically to resolve having to react and become proactive.

When its all going to s*** is when you find out if you've got what it takes

In support of FDB:
Sam performed miracles keeping our squad up last year.
The 3 FDB's brought in look good.
If he has to sell to buy, who the hell would buy Punch, Ward, Kelly, Townsend , Hennessy, Chungy, Schlupp,Mutch? - probably not even Championship teams.
Why bring in Dougie F? Dougie from Twin Peaks would be more use.(1 for TP fans only)
Apart from making Punch captain, I don't think FDB has done too much wrong.
Keep the faith

Leicester have allegedly made a £27m bid for Townsend so that's your theory out of the window
