Be going for 59 years so numerous and massive ups and downs. This feels like another big downer or at least a big mess. Now hoping for something good to come of the transfer window, and moving on from there.

I so wish Parish and others on the board read these posts! No rants no delusions of grandeur, honest fans showing their frustration. What makes it all the harder for me is that the solution is so clear......

Now, before everyone gets the wrong end of the stick, this isn't a spoilt brat , toys out the pan rant, it's a genuine statement and question.

I've been a fan of Palace since my early teens when they used to give tickets out to the local schools to encourage us to swell the ranks at matches.

When i first could, i bought a season ticket and , along with a couple of friends began 'that' journey on the rollercoaster.

Over the years friends and family have changed and moved on, people have differing commitments and our day out has evolved.

Over the past 2/3 seasons i've begun to not enjoy the daily experience, mainly the football element. This past Saturday after that awful performance i genuinely felt like i didn't want to watch them again. Now, as I say, this isn't just because of this one match, its been building over time. I'm not a fairweather supporter either, it seems that the team are not providing any entertainment any more and its all becoming a bit drab and predictable.

Does anyone else feel the same way or begun to feel this way? I'm really considering the future of my season ticket ongoing from now....

have you tried drinking heavily before matches?

It was much more enjoyable winning games at home and chasing promotion from the championship. It has been Bruce Dyer for a while.

And yet SP brings in a manager to try and change all that, and people want him fired after 3 games, and go back to the style that has served us so well....

Agreed and with Social Media giving everyone the opportunity to moan about everything, many forget that we are trying to compete at the top table.
Spurs,Everton how long have they been trying to win something.?
Plus how bad has it been for Leeds and Villa.
Not forgetting our friends at The Valley.

Yeah because we were doing that every season with our revenue of 14th in the championship, losing £5 mil every season back in 2010-2012 and needing to make that up every 1or 2 years sending us back to or near to square 1 again.

Be careful what you wish for. Relegation could mean many years in the championship or worse, and not necessarily challenging top 6 at all.

I've sat through week in week out of Trevor f***ing Francis... I wouldn't be about to quit when we have the best squad we've ever had in the supposed "best league in the world"

Jesus man, pull yourself together and get on with it.

I'm completely with you.

Since '88/'89 i had gone to games as and when, firstly my dad could take me then when I got old enough to go on my own. I then got my first season ticket 7 years ago. I'm sure some of the older fans on here will be able to recite worse times but i saw some pretty turgid stuff in that roughly 30 year period. Some great times did happen too though!

However - around January this year I just stopped going and didn't renew my ST this year.

Maybe it's the fact me and the wife started the process of relocating to Devon and my priorities changed. Maybe it's the matchday experience itself. Maybe it's the other fans sitting around me and their often ridiculous opinions and constantly bemoaning the ref/ lino for everything, maybe it's the losing 0-1 at home to teams we should be competitive against, maybe it's football in general and the Sky Sports influence, the players that don't give a toss, the loss of identity in our club, the constant feeling that as soon as things start to look on the up the club somehow seems to self implode...

I'll always support the club, always look out for the result, still have my mood affected by the result for days afterwards and still have hope that the club will do well. Just at the moment i've lost the passion for it all. Maybe it'll come back...

i'm annoyed we've started the season in trouble again but that's Palace.

i remember some dire, dire days in the Championship. the odd promotion before being cast out after a troubled year.
