I have a good life, football is a hobby. It will never depress me.

The minute you don't like something, don't do it.

Spot on.

I struggle with our home form & it really is the root of our perennial battle against relegation. Someone, I can't remember who, once said of the EPL that if you can win at least half of your home games it should be enough. That's 10 games which is 30 points which equates to 75% of what is perceived as safety. The remaining 10 points should come from draws & the odd away success. Even Burnley learnt that the first time they were relegated & didn't make the same mistake again.

There's enough evidence to show that you cannot achieve this playing pure counter-attack so something has to change & this seems to be what is driving SP, the board and management.

Is FdB the right manager for the job? I don't know, yet. What is clear is that we need to adapt from our recent style of play as those teams we aspire to be have done. Everton, Stoke, Saints, WBA - even Leicester have adapted the way they play at home.

The big problem, as I see it, is the EPL has so much at stake nowadays that transition is very difficult, the pressure of affects players (some more than others) and fans lose patience very, very quickly.

Folk have already said we now have the most talented squad we've ever had but the counter to that is so does everyone else.

Strikes me that if we can't evolve then we need to decide, and decide quickly, if we are a team that wants to concentrate on winning or being hard to beat and then just do it.

Maybe we can then look to build for the future.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Now, before everyone gets the wrong end of the stick, this isn't a spoilt brat , toys out the pan rant, it's a genuine statement and question.

I've been a fan of Palace since my early teens when they used to give tickets out to the local schools to encourage us to swell the ranks at matches.

When i first could, i bought a season ticket and , along with a couple of friends began 'that' journey on the rollercoaster.

Over the years friends and family have changed and moved on, people have differing commitments and our day out has evolved.

Over the past 2/3 seasons i've begun to not enjoy the daily experience, mainly the football element. This past Saturday after that awful performance i genuinely felt like i didn't want to watch them again. Now, as I say, this isn't just because of this one match, its been building over time. I'm not a fairweather supporter either, it seems that the team are not providing any entertainment any more and its all becoming a bit drab and predictable.

Does anyone else feel the same way or begun to feel this way? I'm really considering the future of my season ticket ongoing from now....

I felt like this When Freedman became manager the last time. I got so sick of the 'try to score a goal, park the bus and end up losing 2 1' that I started leaving early (unheard of for me up to then. Then midweek games I stopped going (has always been an inconvenience) and then I started to even pick and choose Saturday games I'd go to and then it hit me. I wasn't enjoying it any more. Even during Freedman's small 8 game unbeaten run that saw him snatched up by Bolton couldn't fire my enthusiasm. It wasn't about the results anymore. It was about the football as a whole.
As we all know, Freedman left, Holloway came in and very very slowly with more entertainment, encouragement from long standing friends and of course a nerve jangling run to the play offs the old fire in the belly returned.
Maybe take some time off it for a few weeks, see how you feel afterward. The enthusiasm will return in time. I promise you. If you are anything like me it will.

At least it's not costing in the £1,200 to £1,500 ballpark at Arsenal where they're now being run as a business first and football team last. A complete reversal of their history.

Mate of mine was a season ticket holder at Arsenal for years - went with family. Now he's got kids of his own he's moved to Barnet as 3 season tickets was way beyond his budget. I used to tease him about the all pervading sense of entitlement you get with some fans of big clubs - he gets it now.

Bit drastic moving to Barnet for cheaper football.

All jokes aside, lower league football is great to watch. I go watch Eastleigh when I can, just to enjoy watching a game where the physios aren't on every two minutes. It's refreshing.

Mate I have to agree, it just gets me out the house! And few beer's with the lads. The football has been absolute s***. But it's a drug. It's actually made me laugh at times over the last couple of seasons. Especially where I sit in the upper. You can see it all unfolding 🙈

I've not read all the answers but can sympathise with the disillusionment. Many good points have been made.

That said, Palace need us to keep the faith. We are battling to establish ourselves in the division and part of that entails stepping up from the bang-it-and-whack-it, heart-on-sleeve players who made us what we are. Some will be prima donnas. In fact most would be for 5 to 10 grand a week extra. That's just how it is.

With our infrastructure, it is patently obvious that we got promoted far too soon. We didn't have the stadium, training ground or scouting network to thrive.

We started by defying the odds but actually becoming a 'real' PL club is so much harder than sticking with it for a season.

That is where the club need us...united, patient beyond reason, and positive.

Any given moment or game or failure by a highly paid player can undermine it all, but we just have to keep going. cos that's part supporting your local team.

He took his boys to look at Wycombe, Barnet and a couple of others, don't know what swung for Barnet - I used to watch Tooting and Mitcham and I know what you mean!

Oh come on. I know the footballs been s**t, bit depressed. ..really? Whats wrong with palace fans at the moment. Always used to support the team through thick and thin. Now we get threads headed 'depressed'. Poor things, go and have a lie down, then support someone like Chelsea or Tottenham.
We've struggled in the premiership since we came back and have avoided relegation by the skin of our teeth. We struggle to win at home playing counter attackING football, so we hire a manager who wants to change thd way we play, and fans want him out after 3 games, and are depressed. Ffs.

Everyone's is missing the point. As I have said, we have the best, most expensively assembled squad ever and we are total s***e. That's why people are so disillusioned. Undoubtedly we are going down. We have Wilf, we have a £30m striker. Something is desperately wrong here...

I haven't fallen out of love with Palace - as such.
I have certainly fallen out of love with football as a whole - it is a despicable business now - from greedy Agents to players who dive and the money everyone is on is just too silly for words.
The fans are just an audience now - we don't bring enough money to a top Club to make it matter what we think - we are needed for atmosphere not cash nowadays.
I don't watch many matches on TV now but I still love CPFC and I hope that will never change.
Depressed right now about our continued struggle for stability but we are only three games in and there is a long way to go.
If we are still pointless in another three games - then...............
