Woke up to the news on TalkSPORT that we are lining up a permanent move for Joel Campbell. I've always been keen on this guy who plays with a particularly direct style and actually wanted us to sign him two years ago. I know it's deadline day and lots of links flying around but I think this could be realistic.

I was on holiday in the Canaries at Easter and met a couple of Arsenal season ticket holders who told me that Joel Campbell joining us was a nailed on certainty. At the time I hadn't heard any rumours at all and since then we've changed managers so I don't know whether there was any truth to the rumour back then but this one does pop up in most transfer windows

Yes, I thought Tosun looked good in the video, but the quality of some of the goalkeeping & defending was shocking. Not sure how he'd do in the PL.

Always liked this player and gooner mates always speak highly of him. However isn't he coming back from a bad injury? Could make a medical difficult. If fit though would provide good competition in a couple of positions.

Joel Campbell is essentially a left-footed striker but can play on either wing.He himself has said he is good in one-on-one situations and is certainly direct with pace.Has the courage to shoot from distance and takes free kicks over a wall. Was on Loan somewhere last season but I cannot remember the club and don't know how he performed. Edited by Willo (31 Aug 2017 9.45am)
