If you read Parish's comments about the situation, he is giving absolutely no assurances about FdB. I suspect he has come to the same comclusion that many of us have (FdB doesnt fit) and will sack him at the week end. He probs wouldnt want to hold another lomg round of interviews and would go with Hodgson. He does after all have a wealth of experience, has successfully run PL clubs before, and is a pragmatist who will get the best out of players in the positions they are best suited to play in. A lot would depend on the coaching staff and how well drilled they are.

Possibly go with Freedman as 'Interim' and if there is an improvement might even offer the job to him on a permanent basis !

But I can understand the rational behind the comments relating to Hodgson who is certainly experienced and would be a "Safe pair of hands".

That team can still play football on the front foot. Mensah can get up and down, PVA can overlap all day long and cheek and Cabaye are highly reliable on the ball.

It's possibly the manager and supporters who doubt this possibility. Try to build this as a team for some stability when all are fit and we should be okay. Try being too clever for your own good and, well...

Spot on. Play 4-3-3 and our starting 11 and bench (minus striker) look decent.

What about Jeffrey Schlupp cost a bomb and raring to go will fit in anywhere he is asked.

After you have spent 12 millions why not give them a game.

Where are Parish's comments? Are they recent?

Like he fitted in as a central defender away to Man C last season !

"Mr Polyfilla" or perhaps Jack of all trades and master of none !

Schlupp has pace though, and that is always going to give defenders something to think about.

If FdB leaves, I think that is exactly what will happen.

Is this the same Parish that said that it took so long to appoint FDB because he wanted to make sure that he made the right choice?

With the exception of Sammy Lee the coaching staff are FDB's henchmen and will probably also leave

Allardyce bought him and rates him highly, unlike Willo. Last played I think against Hull and was exceptional at left back.

Whose opinion would we choose?

'Mr.Polyfilla'? Must be looking in the mirror.

I think it's a case of when Frank goes.

I have a feeling Hodgson will come in with the Doug as his no 2.

Sammy Lee has worked with Roy before so his appointment wouldn't rock the boat to much.

If he can still walk, maybe he can play RWB?
