Allardyce bought him and rates him highly, unlike Willo. Last played I think against Hull and was exceptional at left back.

Whose opinion would we choose?

'Mr.Polyfilla'? Must be looking in the mirror.

Being "Exceptional" as a left-back against Hull who were beaten 4-0 and relegated isn't perhaps the greatest endorsement of one's performance and quality !

I have not dismissed him as a player and advocating he is utter garbage, I was just surprised we paid £9 Mill rising to near £12 Mill for his services. We all have our opinions and perhaps I don't hold him in such high esteem as others.

Keeping it confidential then, which is wise. And I'd rather not broadcast to the whole world our plans and formations anyway. Another naive idea.

However the fact that no one in this thread has taken into account that now we have Sakho, and given how many of our players were texting him since last May so must Frank have known about his imminent arrival and fitness. The back four or three though are not fully ready will make steady progress towards clean sheets, but we won't be safe until he is fully fit. The middle has Injured players still to fulfill the current thin squad, glad Maca is back.

Thefore obvious to anyone else but those on these types of glass half empty threads. Can see that it's not FDB's fault, it's also not Parishes Fault as there is an element of risk in any venture and has already spent £70 million so far alone just for this year. But for the pessimistic guys on here to think either of them believes they have already failed. Maybe some of you guys need to taste success in your own lives more often to know how to successfully combat failure to be a winner.

As Gary Neville said on MOTD after the Swans game that it looked like he wanted to get to know how some players may perform under pressure in different positions. Given FDB understood he was going to have a thin squad the early period was the only period to best try different things plus 2 Forward player injuries, didn't help. It was a risk he took in being optimistic about the player's abilities and trust they would be bold in their actions as young players in front of their own home crowd, those are good things IMHO if you like your glass half full.

OK big deal its 3 games, we have survived longer streaks of failure and are still in the Premier. It's so boring and for me sad that so few Palace fans find it so hard to repeat what we haven't already heard before 2000+ times and counting. I am more than happy to stick with Frank until the end of the season.

......just to match to boring comments here, I am sorry I have had to go about such a long and winding road to your answer. I shouldn't worry about anyone so far on this thread giving any real formations that will actually happen.

School, SN.Juniors, SN High, Selhurst. 1st match 1972 CP 2 N. Utd 1. Thank you, John Jackson and Vince Hilair for brightening our darkest days. I moved to the west country in 1983. Always Proud and 'Glad All Over' to be a Palace Fan. ))

Till the end of the season? What if he lost 10, then 20, then 30 league games?

Playing a system we don't suit, players out of position and not setting us up to play to our strengths is exactly his fault.
