Transfer fees are going up exponentially I feel and are lead by the top transfers, 200 mill from Neymar in the summer. This trickles downwards in valuations so for us what was a 5 mill player is now a 10 mill player. Basically to get a half decent squad striker we will be looking for between 10 and 20 mill now unless we can find a bargain close to the end of his contract. Cheap is unlikely.

Not got a positive view of the guy, but his 5(?) goals this season would have been worth 4 points for us, putting us just behind Everton

As has been stated earlier we have a different manager and coaching staff since we were interested in the guy in the summer. If his agent is just assuming we will still be interested he may be in for a shock. I am not convinced by him and he would appear only to be a replacement for the Benteke position rather than adding optional forward play for us. One thing in his favour he does appear to be able to score. Mind you , you would have said that about Benteke last season so no guarantees he will continue scoring anyway. It is a no from me.
