Whatever happened to 'cartilages' ruined many a career including Don Rogers, never mentioned these days. Knee complications were the end nobody would give you 1 year plus, lucky if you got 3 months to return. A swift operation and if not back then sorry. Glenn Murray made a full recovery so there is hope but it does appear to be a medical term designed to confuse.
it's just a strain/tear at the end of the day just like many other injuries sports people and even normal people get. the issue is if you are a sports person not only do you have surgery you then wait up to 6 months to heal that injury and restricted to doing upper body exercise only. so you heal after 6 months then comes physio for that area which can be another 3+ months next you need to ease into working lower body. it's long process that tends to take at least a year depending how bad the original tear/strain was. Wickhams problem is he is weak (we don't control this some people are more prone then others just like bruising) he picks up injuries easily just like Carol now these type of people really should be retired but they wont because of £££ The other thing which is the hardest is mental state some people can't cope either being out or dealing with coming back (you see this with sports people they struggle with life away from sports it's like a routine they have hardwired in)

Same here. I seem to recall that his injury was deemed to be considerably worse than Bolasie's which was about the same time. There was a doubt that he'd be able to recover even after surgery & it has clearly been a long road back. If he makes it then we potentially have a good EPL striker on our hands - if not, then I, for one, will wish him well.

Agreed. He was playing very well when he got injured.I hope that he can recover to the level he was playing at when the injury occurred; only time will tell.
