With respect I was commenting on the views of 'Goldfinger' whilst opining that he would be in the minority.Cannot really see why I should be upbraided for my response.

God knows, but its tiresome to read.
Reminds me of an old boy who catches a bus near mine and swears he has a current job with Palace and an inside ear on situations. He has no answer when I ask why he's wearing a torn palace coat from about 15 years ago and no inside information.

It the same formular over & over. The same people (usually new members) create the same moany threads over & over. People with no information comment on threads, usually repeating what they've said on previous threads. Willo rocks up with something inconsequential about someone else's views, but rarely one he takes ownership of. Someone has a moan about Willo. Then some clever so and so breaks it all down, but again says nothing much about the topic ...as it's all been said before...on countless other threads. Thread is then picked up by a lazy 'journo' and offered to the world in print format. This is then picked up by the same (usually new) members and posted on a new thread.

So...last chance saloon. Who'd have guesssd it. Can't wait to read the same story tomorrow. And the day after... Stay original HOL.

It adds nothing to the thread. More ordinary supporters with the same view as many on here. And you post it as if it's surprising that some people you've spoken to think the same.

One could accuse a lot of posters about not adding value to a particular debate.

As for many with "Same view", well this is a debating forum and of course the convergence of views is to be expected as of course is a divergence of opinions on occasions.

And I really cannot comprehend the sentiments in your last paragraph regarding my so called "Surprise".News to me.

Anyway, we are getting away from the subject matter so it is best if the debate gets back on track.

You say you've spoken to a few supporters who think Frank will be sacked next week.

- Pearson was dismissed due to that sex scandal video involving his son came out in the press, where he and his son were dismissed.

- Moyes resigned at Sunderland, where the backroom was shocking. He should've done better and Utd, but Fergie left him with a weak, aging squad.

- Phelan took over a Hull side who didn't have enough players to field a squad, a manager, and had terrible behind-the-scenes going on. To be honest, I think it was a miracle they didn't end up bottom, and it's incredibly harsh to judge him n that despite his successful years as an assistant.

- Claude Puel was very unlucky last season. Southampton just needed a finisher and their squad would've been complete. The fact is they have done very well since being promoted, but that, unfortunately, worked against him.

- Mazzarri was sacked for bizarre reasons. The fact that Flores was sacked the season before shows how trigger-happy that board were. Also worth noting that Mazzarri managed successful Sampdoria and Napli teams not that long ago.

- Curbishley was never sacked from West Ham. There were dodgy behind-the-scenes goings on at West Ham at that time, and Curbishley wasn't having any of it. He won the case regarding it. Also, he managed Charlton through, arguably, their most successful period ever.

I appreciate the thoughts, but to call these lot 'failures' is ridiculous. Also, not all of them were even sacked, and if they were, there were other things going on behind-the-scenes of the clubs.

The others, though, I agree are crap.
