Would pick Riedewald at RB over ward. And yeah, looks thin without Zaha, RLC and Mama.

Would Puncheon be playing over Luka if he wasn't captain. Basically making him captain was a huge error

FDB in the preview: We have to go back to the way the team is comfortable playing, and if that means 4-3-3, we'll play 4-3-3.

Pardew's on the build-up show. Should be interesting...

He said everyone was fit except Wickham and Zaha. Then he picks that team? How are Joel Ward and Puncheon still playing for us, its baffling. And Lee comes in to add some steel to the midfield? Luka benched, what is going on here.

With regards to Joel Ward, i'm happier with him in a back four as opposed to wing back. Either way though, who else do we have, other than Townsend as a wing back? but that only really works in 3-4-3 or 5-3-2.

It worked 2 years ago - what doesn't work is Puncheon! Not as though he's a great captain and is picked for that - we've lost 7 out of our last 8 without scoring a goal.

Play Fosu Mensah at right back (or Riedewald who has played there) and play one of our 23 other centre backs in the middle. Ward offers nothing getting forward and gets skinned and attacked all game by the opposition, as he cannot stop a cross and has no positional sense. As for Puncheon captain or not he must be dropped. I am a supporter of FDB but this is as if he wants to lose and be fired.

Why have we got Luka on the bench? Loftus not fit to play and he brings in Lee!

Midfield far to light weight for me against a physical Burnley side.

Have to say it looks like a championship XI

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

What is it with everyone about Ward? Yes, we will probably lose, but if we are playing a back four then Ward fits in at right back. I'm more concerned that we don't have a decent centre back pairing and Luka not being selected?

Got to say that's my worry as well. If we were a confident, well-gelled team, maybe we could try to out-pass Burnley, but I anticipate a scrap today and we don't look well-equipped for one.

If we go behind who on earth is there on the bench that can change the game for us ?
