I was really encouraged with what I saw today. Looked so much better with a back four and kept possession well at times. No one can blame FDB for today as we were let down with terrible finishing. I have changed my tune and believe we need to give him time.

Just look at the chances; benteke one on one, Scott Dann header and two cleared off the line!! We absolutely dominated the game with even Sean Dyche admitting we outplayed them,

When we have Zaha, Sakho and RLC back we will look even stronger, and I firmly believe our luck will change.

I thought today we were excellent. Why chungy gets a start is just
A mystery.i think he is an easy player to manage so managers like his attitude....shame because he is around a League 1 or 2 player Left side today should have been PVA...left footer ..Chungy being a right footed player on the left meant he was always looking for a back/side pass from his natural foot. At the moment everything FDB touches turns to s**t ....
Make no mistake we are in trouble but our squad is so much better than the likes of Burnley...yet they are picking up points
Keep the faith ...we have talented players

I agree that our performance today has granted FDB a stay of execution in my mind. Nothing he could do about a total f*** up from Lee and some woeful finishing. We dominated Burnley from start to finish.

The important thing is, is we now carry that forward to the Southampton game and build on it. If we can do that and have our 3 best players Zaha, RLC and Sahko back in the team then I am happy to stick.

If, however we turn in a performance next week like our last 2 home games then something is seriously wrong and we need to look at making a change.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Burnley can call on the following forwards : Vokes,Wood,Walters,Barnes,Wells.
We really only have Benteke.

Cheers, nice analysis. Must of been a very frustrating afternoon for all the fans but great support again. Can't see how a change of management presently will get more out of the players who played today. When some key players return we should get better. Could of easily of folded after the opening calamity . Definite shoots of recovery and good to see the youngster getting a run. Burnley looked poor as well.

Yes a far more encouraging performance with players missing but perhaps it needs to be put in perspective against a Burnley team who were gifted a goal and perhaps decided to sit deep, protect their lead and try and hit us on the break.

There is a degree of positivity around but if we get nothing against Southampton then negativity will return in droves and HOL will become a hotbed of vitriol and vituperation. It is vital that we get something, not least when one considers the next 3 games after that.

and of course he could still sadly be sacked before any of that happens.

I hope not. Today for me was a realization that our boss isn't the problem. Hes changed too much too soon perhaps but he knows what hes doing deffo.

This ^^. We must have the weakest squad in the PL.

It was a vastly better performance than Swansea and we should have won, but if we dont take our chances..
For me Cabaye was standout. Townsend was excellent as well.
(Wayne was also fine)
