THIS is worth absorbing as being probably the case. Harris and Blitzer probably forced Parish's hand - I wonder if the former even saw yesterday's match.

Anyway, we are the laughing stock of the game now.

Well if that's the case it just shows that Donner and Blitzen know SFA about football and haven't a clue what they are doing. I guess the price of investment is to be blown from one shipwreck to the next by people who don't understand what they are doing.

Birmingham nearly ended up in League 1 because of foolishness like this and it looks like our turn now.

Yep, should've monitored Frank game by game. More fvcking about and sack him, but more of yesterday and persevere unless the zero points and goals goes on and on and on.

Next week was the last real chance of any points till November and late Autumn set in, with the bottom place at Christmas just round the corner.

I'm glad de Boer has gone. The main job of a manager is to maximise the strengths of the team and minimise the weaknesses. By his choice of formation, style of play and team selection he did the opposite - this was plainly obvious by half-time in the first match v. Huddersfield.

Although there was some improvement yesterday, the fact is we have failed to gain any points or even score a goal in four matches, three of which were against potential relegation candidates.

In my opinion, Parish and the others have made the correct call, although it's a costly and to an extent, an embarrassing decision. Nevertheless, I believe that Hodgson is a much better fit for a club like ours.

PS Never a dull moment supporting Palace though is there!

The way we are operating, Ill believe Roy is the new man when it is announced and not before. Anything is possible right now.
No one knows the inside deal on all this fiasco, so it is dangerous to point fingers. One thing for sure is that we are a failing team and club at present.
Whatever happens this week, I really am hoping for 3 points on Saturday. Any less and we will be absolutely reeling.
Our performance on most fronts over the past two years has been dire. There have been exceptions but fundamentally we have been in crisis mode.
I am not sure what is likely to change things other than a sale and a massive injection of cash which I am not sure is round the corner.......but who knows??
We need to keep our heads up and hope for the best.

What on Earth makes anyone say it was those two that pushed this through?

You affirm it like you have some knowledge.

I think it would be far more interesting to consider whether it was the senior pros that encouraged SP to administer the coup de grace.

I have to say this decision skinks but it looks as though it was pushed through by Harris and Blitzer.

It probably didn't make a difference what SP said in defence of FDB their minds were made up he was going!

Most fans I believe are now totally disgusted in the manner of FDB's 'parting company' especially after yesterdays dramatic improved overall performance.

What good has this done our club to tell everyone initially that we wish to change our philosophy and culture, build up our academy, play a different style of football and that's it's going to take time to fully evolve.
Call it a 'project' and take ages to hire the right man in the first place to lead it, not give him enough say on transfer policy and then only give him a short tenure. Complete shambles!

So from being forward thinking and having a project we now want to look backwards with a 70 year old!
Are we progressing are we F*c* !

TOTALLY AGREE
By all accountants Parish had splat with fans on twitters yesterday and he mentioned that we should all stick together at this time. I have always held Parish in high regard but to sack De Boer after 5 games is madness and unbelievable and stupidity, I really thought there was a lot off positives from yesterday preformance and it proved he was willing back down on this 3 at the back system and with other players coming into the team I really thought we had turned a corner. The result of our Hudderfield game De Boer was never given a chance, 100% sure this decision was taken with American pressure.

I just wonder what this sacking has done for the credibility of this football club, because as far as I am concerned this has made us even more of a laughing stock in the football world. I believe players/ managers will be having second thoughts about want to come to a club like ours, because there has got to be something going on in the back ground, why we can't hold on to managers possibly why Allardyce left .

All the Palace fans that wanted DeBoer's head give yourself a nice pat on the back, I wonder how many remember Dario Gardi and how many games he would off had 2 !

Parish is a media-bunny, just like mildew, he's only interested in media perception of him, not the club, as was mildew.
Woy is a failed pensioner, we're gonna play like Fulham, woop de do.
I thought there was only one team in it at Burnley, we've played a hell of a lot worse at Burnley and won, but mildew didn't get sacked!
Parish is an accomplished businessman, which puts him right up there with Goldberg. If Parish really does have the last say at club, might as well make him the manager, sky sports will love that.

I would have liked to see FDB succeed at Palace, but unfortunately he brought it upon himself, through a number of crucial errors :-

1. He should have seen before the start of the season we do not have the players to play 3 at the back.

2. It's obviously to everyone that Puncheon needs to be dropped, yet he is made captain.

3. The team he picked on Sunday was the last straw with Lee playing. Never a PL league player.

he was unlucky with Zaha, RLC getting injured and Sakho not being match fit. That being aid we failed to score, let alone beat Swansea, Burnley and Huddersfield.

If whoever comes in and retains Puncheon as captain then they should not last longer than 77 seconds let alone 77 days.

Whilst I am disappointed with the sacking and we look a bit stupid now I must say there are an awful lot of hypocrites on here. Everyone complained that Parish was a ditherer when he took so long to dismiss Pardew. Now he is too impatient etc. etc.

Also, it had to be a board decision. Parish is the spokesman for the board but these decisions are not his alone (as was the appointment of FDB).

Yes we're all disappointed but I really wish people would just stop hitting out at any target they can.

I'm looking foreward to seeing how the team perform from here. Last year they largely demonstrated a lot of faults and as a team seem very fragile. If a new manager can galvanise this bunch into a winning team then we will know a lot more about the merits/de-merits of FDB.

I think there is middle ground between a year of underperformance and 4 games.

I agree with you completely. We would have been a bigger laughing stock if we waited another 6 games then sacked him with 0 points.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.
