Let me get this right...

de Boer was sh*te and he got the boot too early, Pardew was sh*te and got the boot too late.

Proper bi-polar this board.

Then you really don't understand the term Bi polar.Paredew was given time time and sacked when it became obvious he could not motivate the team any more....De Boer had 4 games and we played good football against Burnley...bad luck and poor finishing cost us..not sure you got it right at all...??

God, it makes me so angry....I am gonna find a little bloke... I'm gonna have a fight!

It now appears that 'Parting company' with FDB has very little with the way Palace played (especially on Sunday)
But having met SP and DF on Aug 28th they were were underwhelmed and did not have any confidence in FDB going forwards.
Among the reasons for Palace's dissatisfaction were:
De Boer's apparent diversion from a number of agreements reached when he signed, such as the team's formation.
The squad's struggles to adapt to the style of play he tried to implement.
Poor feedback on planning, methods and sessions.
Atmosphere at the training ground.
His use of, and relationship with certain players, such as Damien Delaney, Martin Kelly, Joel Ward, Jairo Riedewald and Lee Chung-yong.
A perceived lack of input on transfer activity.

De Boer is understood to have been unhappy with factors including:
The pre-season schedule organised before his arrival.
The involvement of Parish in first-team matters.
The delay in signing defender Mamadou Sakho.

Why the relationship between FDB and everyone else appears to have broken down so early in his tenure is unbelievable, why FDB is querying the pre-season schedule is also a bit strange as well.
Player relationships well you would have thought FDB would have wanted to get the very best out everyone even if they might not be the very best of talent available in the Premiership.
Motivation, drive and team spirit can lift everyone to higher performance levels.
He clearly wasn't the manager we thought we were getting!
Maybe there is more to come out in this short sorry saga?

Not 100% on topic, but would we have to pay combo to FDB? Not sure whether there is a probation period where he isn't due any compo in say first 3 months of the job

I think there is humour in the original remarks. Paradew had it wrong but Palace waited an age to get rid. FdB had it wrong and he was sacked far too early.
These two decision are so far apart, we can understand the bi-polar aspect of what is being suggested. What next for the new man? He must be desperate for a job to take on a position where he may get sacked tomorrow or after a season of doing it his way, or someone else's way or.....oh hell, what do we know? Utter confusion and muddled panic. So unlike the Parish we all know. Now there's a story there.....

Yesterday, I was thinking that Parish had made a real mistake. Don't get me wrong, I was far from impressed with De Boer but I thought that 4 games was not enough and it just made us look like a real joke with no patience. However, we do not know the full story and there is no doubt that there will be many different sides. By the looks of things, Frank shot himself in the foot by changing things too quickly not only on the pitch but off it as well and there were many other off field problems.

I usually defend Parish as I feel that many of the things he is criticised for are unfair but one thing I will say, he needs to stop getting so involved with the first team, that is going to p*ss off any manager, he needs to let the manager do his job and stick to his.

FDB has got to be regarded as unlucky. There must have been more missed chances in the last 4 games than in 12 usually. Plus best players getting injured so quickly. Sacking after 4 games is ridiculous. I like Parish normally but I think since he had the Yanks on his back he is getting panicked into decisions.

Think you may be right and perhaps I had a son humour bypass last night...seems that there was much going on behind the scenes and the Burnley result prob didn't, make a difference either way....just seems ridiculous that Parish and the rest of the board could make such a poor choice after paying due diligence in offering Frank a three contract....disappointing to say the least...and thanks for your measured response...and apologies Southampton Eagle if I missed any subtlety with your post....onwards and upwards...COYP
