All this talk about Roy and his negative tactics yet our shots on goal to date totals 447 for the season with 3 games to go, this puts us 7th out of the 20 clubs. The teams above us include 5 of the top 6 and Leicester.
Our highest recorded total is 476 which was last season under Roy.
We’ve also hit the woodwork 15 times which is the 4th highest this season, again the only teams above us are those that are in the top 6.

When you consider these stats and then cast your minds back to the opportunities the players have missed in games at home, Sakho’s missed header against Newcastle, MacArthur tap in against Watford, MacArthur again when he missed from 2 yards out. Take your pick of any player against Cardiff. A few of these go in and there would be a lot less disgruntled home fans wanting a change.
Key moments at home we have come up short and I don’t see what Roy can do, other than set the team up like he has done and hope his players have their shooting boots on.

Hodgson out brigade only read what they want to read, so sadly you're wasting your time.

I’m fortunate to have seen the away wins at Manchester City, Newcastle and Arsenal this season , a feat I doubt we’ll see again for many years in one season.
However, I have also seen really poor performances at home this season epitomised by today.
Sloppy passing, lack of creativity going forward and essentially nine men behind the ball with only Wilf and Benteke forward.
There’s no point playing Benteke if we don’t play players close to him or hit crosses to take advantage of his aerial ability.
With Zaha off form as well we had zero threat and I can’t remember Pickford making a save.
I’m ok with Roy staying but I’d like to see it written into his contract that he can’t play 9 men behind the ball at home unless it’s against the top 4!

I'm sure if the Players felt they were able to hold onto the ball and pass to each other they would be able to upset Everton's play, but our players fell back because Everton made them due to extreme pressing and allowing us no room to move, Zaha had up to three players marking him every time he moved forward dangerously, we didn't stop ourselves ..Everton did because their squad was stronger and better then our squad, simple really.
We really do have an average squad of players, some are quite hopeless.

Benteke is a write off. s*** touch, no strength, poor movement, can’t stay on his feet or hold the ball up.

His biggest problem is getting himself into the right place at the right time, he shouldn't be on any wing dribbling anywhere down it, the times today he was running around miles from where he should have been was ridiculous, the ball on his head with him running in the box (not offside) is where he should be every time we get into a crossing situation, then we need to have a look at the crossing because nine times out of ten it is absolutely disgusting, Benteke might as well not be there half the time anyway.

We are 12th in the self styled Best League in the World. Where does everyone think we should be placed? It seems a lot of people would be pleased to see Benetiz take over - how’s he done this year?

Don't go all factual mate.
You need to understand that many posters on here think that they are on BOL not HOL due to the similarities of the kit.

Cmon really, what is too much exactly? I go to a football match to get entertained. I’ve now been to ten home matches this year I haven’t seen one win and I’ve seen some pretty piss poor performances if the truth be known. If that is expecting too much then you are truly not seeing the big picture.

Where I sit we have the benefit of Jim Cannon and Clinton Morrison’s pearls of wisdom after the match and believe me when I say they pulled no punches today, the words boring, were right at the top of the list and they are ex pros talking about the team they love.

I’m afraid this is the problem with many new ‘fans’. Supporting a team is an emotional attachment, often stressful, not entertainment. Entertainment is a rare bonus when we play well.

Presumably you’ve only be going to Palace since we got promoted, because I can assure you the many years we spent in the Championship certainly were not entertainment.

Re the Everton match, I didn’t see if but sounds like it was a crap match. Although given that Everton have won 4 of their last 5, including wins against Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea, I’d take a 0-0 draw all day.

None of us know what goes on behind closed doors and whilst RH has done an amazing job really we could have done more this season in my opinion.
If he is staying then find but I hope that we don't lose players because of him - Wilf, AWB and Luka.

They are the enduring tropes of football that whenever the money they get is questioned “We’re in the entertainment business” and after a tedious 0-0 “We’re in the results business”.

It’s got nothing to do with new fans !!! I’ve been watching for 60 years and this is the most boring and frustrating home season I can remember . We’ve had bad seasons but that was because we had bad teams. We have a good team now as proved by the fantastic away results but our home form is cr@p - why ??? Yes for some reason our players can’t hit a barn door at home but it is the style of play that is so awful to watch. Roy has done a great job overall but he needs to free the team to play more expansively at home to entertain the fans. Goals are the lifeblood of football - fans won’t keep on paying to watch boring games - we have the quality - just allow them to open up Roy !!!!

i canny wait for next season with “roy at the wheel”

we all know 100% no relegation battle.

great, experienced manager who knows how to get points, as this season has more than proved

Love the ambition here.Needs an edit mind. Knows how to get a result away. Clueless at home when we are required to play on the front foot and take charge of a game. Unable to react to in game management. And before you come back with yes we drew with Everton, another point on the board I believe only Huddersfield have an inferior record to us this season. I go both home and away, the poor sods who can only get to the home games I wonder how they feel with Roy behind the wheel.
