Nothing changes - even the bench stays the same virtually every game. Eg we brought back Bakary Sako - who has a great shot, can put in a good cross and has the strength to bully defences - yet we had Ayew on the bench again last night.

Certainly a manager who likes to attack, deploying overlapping centre-halves ! I recall Wilder the player, slotting into various roles at the back and curling in free kicks from the edge of the area.

Van Bronckhorst at Feyenoord (although last Dutch manager we had wasn't a hit! Good record and might want a Premier League Club.) David Wagner (Performed a miracle with Huddersfield) Paul Tisdale at MK Dons (OK, Div Two and a real outsider but he knows how to get teams playing good football and has promise. )

We lost Cabaye, RLC last season and never had a recognised striker until January 2019, whilst also spending very little in the transfer windows and Roy has kept us up for the first time without any real fear of the drop. We have created chance after chance at home, the stats suggest the most we have ever had since our time spent in the PL under Parish, beaten the champions on their own ground, gave the 2nd best team in the league a great game at Anfield, whilst playing attractive but tough to beat football and still fans want him gone. We’re likely to lose Wilf and Wan Bissaka in the summer and I personally think Roy’s way of thinking would suit us perfectly to stabilise us during this transition. Calling for him to leave because he sticks to his organised, hard to beat formation of 442 is ridiculous. Subs could be used more often but honestly, our bench doesn’t scream games changers. We’ve played some of the best football I’ve seen in the PL under Roy even with his ‘negative’ tactics. This strikes me of Ipswich last season, wanting rid of Mick McCarthy and look where they are now..

I only posed the question out of interest as the poster mentioned about some young managers and I was interested to find out if he had any in mind, thats all. I am not sure about the relevance of the last question based on what I posted but then again I am cerebrally challenged !

Poch is the type of inspired managerial choice that is way out of Steve Parish’s league. Sad but true. The root of our inability to move on from being perennial relegation fodder is Parish and his poor decisions and limitations.

Our main problem is that our lone striker is always so isolated he has little chance to do anything. You'd have thought at least once at some point on the last few games he would have played with 2 strikers. (And I don't mean shifting wilf inside). Would love to see benteke and bats being given a chance together - Huddersfield at home would have been the perfect chance.
