I really don't understand all the ageist insults being posted about Hodgson. He's a manager, not a player and with age comes experience. He also brings a huge amount of high level contacts within the PL and football in general.

Everyone needs to forget about England no manager could ever get that spineless lot to perform in a Tournament.

Roys got a decent solid record in the premiership, knows what it takes and when I think back to Fulham, Craven cottage was a fortress under him, hopefully he can start getting the players to perform at Selhurst.

Genuinely feel he's here to help Crystal Palace F.C and not for his own agenda.

Let's back him and start getting some wins.So what if he's old, couldn't give a monkey's as long as results improve.

Can't wait for Saturday.

I feel a lot more positive about this now. Yesterday was a bit of a shock but if it's true what's been said about de Boer then we're probably better off without him.

To me it's a huge relief after the last few weeks of turmoil. He wasn't my first choice after BFS but I feel we are much more secure.

Ray Lewington will definitely be on board.

Hope he does a better job than last time he was assistant coach under Alan Smith when we got relegated.
Having said that he is a well respected coach and hopefully little fat Sam will keep him on his toes .

So that's it the total football experiment crashed and burned , back to basics , welcome Roy , COYP

And we still need a striker

He looks old

Pelegrini at Man city looked like he died in 1987 and he did ok didn't he?

at the end of the day he wont be training with the players, long as they respect him, and listen, we'll be ok.
