If we do manage to scrape survival again, do you really think he'll have learned anything? As soon as we start doing well, he'll pop up on Talksport talking about how great he is.

The hard lesson I speak of is relegation.

f*** me whats happened to our supposedly great support. I didn't realise this club had a divine right to stay in the premiership. Steves lead us to a miracle position in my opinion, our 4th (or maybe 5th?) season in the top flight with players like Zaha, Benteke, Sakho etc in our squad. Yes he's made mistakes, yes its irritating but even if we do go down ( I think we will) he still has my backing as he's done a remarkable job. All my life we've been a pretty s*** club in south london with 13k crowds. I don't get this we are too big of a club to go down mentality, we've been punchign above our weight for awhile now.

Sorry to disagree, with the funds available to PL clubs we should be more than capable of being a stable mid table PL team, it is nothing to do with punching as you put it above our weight, SP is solely responsible for our current plight, forget what happened in the past, that cannot be changed but the future can, that means we need a change at the top, someone who has experience at running a PL club, SP has overseen 8 mangers in just over four years, this has caused the instability in the club and team, it makes us unattractive to good PL players and managers, SP has overseen some poor quality transfers, he cannot make decisions unless he has got three months to think about it first, our poor home record 26 wins from 79 home PL is down to him because of the succession of different managers and styles that he wants them to play, if we go back to the championship all the players you mention will be on their bikes out of here in a flash, we will lose income and be if we are lucky an average Championship side with crowds of 13k as you put hardly the outcome I want!

The above is about as accurate as you can get, And i think the majority of people who spend hours travelling home and/or away will agree, Nicely put. We must move on from the what a hero Steve is, he is holding this club back

Its truly sad that this is the case, but its undeniable. Parish is strangling us slowly but surely. This De Boer fiasco has rocked the players and the transfer window was a joke. Parish thinks you can barely do any business apart from 11pm on deadline day, I have said it a million times but not signing another striker or a keeper is absolutely scandalous. We have 3 left backs, and.......Joel Ward. We have absolutely no attacking threat off the bench. Years and years of failed transfer strategies and overall muddled thinking and mishandling of managers is catching up with us now. Its probably going to be time to pay the piper this year.

The method behind the madness of our transfer windows literally is madness.

On a positive note, if we do relegated, it'll be the first time I can bring myself to watch match of the day for two and a half years.

Nero watched Rome burn and Parish appears to have taken his laurel leaf. When the inevitable relegation happens just waiting for Puncheon to demand a transfer claiming he's to good for the championship.

Must admit he's starting to irk me now, salary from the club, strolls up in his poncy Ferrari, Dragons Den wannabe .
The old catering manager at SP used to say that anything that happens in Selhurst Park it all goes through Parish . Seems he treats Selhurst as his own vanity project, it's all coming to roost now.

Spot on! But where do we go from here? No use blaming SP for this & that, we're in deep trouble and that's where Roy H has to start. My ample suggestions:
1. Strip Jason P of his captaincy and let him & Ward nowhere near 1st team. We're celebrites now with our new record, get them on "Strictly dancing" or "Jungle celebrity".
2. Find the very best sports-scientist healer in the world and make him/her work with Zaha/Sakho 24/7 - whatever cost.
3. Luke told clearly he belongs to the 1st team with his cameo.
4. Palace ladies scored 30 goals in their first 4 games, the Under-23 win and lose, but still score goals. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - we are beyond that. Roy H. has to do more than practise & practise.
5. Transfer window closed, 1 striker in team. It's time for young players to step up. Give (some of) them a chance, it can not get any worse.
6. MacArthur probably had his worst ever game of football Saturday, together with Cabaye, RLC and Luka he will come good.
7. For the Manchester trips, throw in any central defender and not only park the bus (like Swansea when they drew Spurs yesterday), but build a wall inside/round 16 m box.
We don't want the horrible record stretched to 8 games (no scoring). Wonder if own goals count as scored...?
Whatever, let's give the lads our full support - we're the pride of South London, remember (even though I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand)..

I give up sorry. Too punch-drunk now. We had a very good team last season that again miraculously was spared the Championship. Sahko single-handedly answered our defensive issues, but when does Parish buy him? When its too late. As soon as BS left these boards were rife with posts about doing something quick and what to do: Pellegrino, Dyche, Silva would have done, plus RB cover, GK cover, Benteke cover, Sahko, another holding mid, it was all as simple and as clear as the summer sun. Then comes Parish with what he does best: NOTHING. A big fat zero. Goes on holiday. Loses Silva and Pellegrino. Dyche not good enough. Waits...waits...and waits...preseason slowly running out... Finally opts for an unproven PL manager in FDB and a playing system requiring a near full squad overhaul! Some criticism on here met with Parish lickers placating all these apparent idiots about how SP is so cool and intelligent and don't worry there's plenty of time. Well what do you say now? How many managers have we been through in 12 months? 5 years? How many goals have we scored this season? What records have CPFC been blessed with? FU Parish. You've put CPFC fans through too much unnecessary grief and I just can't watch Brighton see us sink to the Championship, where, thanks to you, we thoroughly belong.

You cant blame Parish for the Sahko saga. That is down to the selling club. Liverpool held all the Aces.

Parking the bus is a dead cert for going 8 games without scoring and 8 games without a point. We parked the bus yesterday against a team that hasnt scored many goals this year City will have a field day, visions of Liverpool all those years ago

I do feel a tad sorry for Parish, as he appeared to morph into the sole spokesperson for CPFC2010, and now influenced by new investors , he is still the only head above the parapet.
Some of the comments from FdB and the players regarding how Parish influenced first-team tactics and transfer targets, makes me a little less sorry.

Palace have had a stunning run of luck since CPFC2010 they took over. Seemingly every potential pit-fall has been swerved by the brilliance of The Board, for which Parish was happy to take public acclaim.

However, recent events have rather blown-up in The Board's faces. Parish taking to Twitter in a rather unprofessional way.

It's from the serendipity school of management
