It is neither inevitable nor obvious that we'll be relegated. We have played only five games. Newcastle have played five games and are in the top four . . . is it inevitable or obvious that they'll be in the Champions League?

I think we'll stay up. It might not be pretty but we are going to improve and I think we'll improve enough. I wouldn't be surprised (Palace never surprise me) if we got something from the next three games.

They wont be able to watch games, so latch onto other teams and start complaining about them.

What complete and utter bollocks. Total horses***.

People who live in other countries and watch on TV or internet streams can't be real fans and don't understand what they're watching. Zat right?

If you believe that you're a proper bampot, pal.

4 points from safety, 8 from a European spot, zaha and sakho to return, 40 mil to spend in Jan. Only a matter of time before we click. Think we'll be absolutely fine. Enjoy the fight.

The OP is a mug and this thread should end up in 'mug talk',
People trying to cover them self just in case we get relegated.
We might do, but why start a thread like this? F*cking idiot.

Spot on. FOR FCKS SAKE how can anyone start a thread like this so soon after Roy's taken over? Some right dicks on here these days. As for those giving Parish stick on t***ter...

Who would still be on the club next season? Zaha I assume would be long gone. Cabaye, Sakho, Benteke gone.

Roy gone.

What about SP? Does he survive the trip down?

Any hope of doing well in the championship next season?

No it's not the obvious, we have 33 games to play. Early days plenty to play for.

whereas, Newcastle did a great job of getting back to the prem.

Lets remember that the championship is a bloody tough league and nothing is to be taken for granted.

Unfortunately they kept their squad largely together, kept their manager and bought players from the PL like Ritchie and Gayle. As the OP says cannot see us following that line should we go down.

Mate. Live for the day and try to at least enjoy it (perhaps not the football). Let Parish worry about that next summer if he needsnto

Look, we've got a largely good run from October to December to ratch up some points. As long as key players don't get injured.

Of course I'm not privy to the state of the teams confidence right now.

Too true. Apparently we were employing "too many people" according to the Chairman. I might have made an exception for Sammy Lee, if he was prepared to stay (and Roy was OK with that, of course).

Roy has a two year contract probably with The Championship possibility not being ignored in SPs and his thinking.

Reckon he might be our longest manager since Warnock #1 . Two whole years.
