I hate the feel of cotton wool. Can barely touch it. Makes my blood turn cold.

I can't hear someone ruffling kitchen roll or rubbing dry hands together. Or my Mrs filing her nails for an entire episode of a serial killer documentary. None of them are fears though, I am just an extremely intolerant individual.

My wife says that I have the "Constitution of an ox".

possibly the arse of an Ox eating that, Willo

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

When I was in Australia, I had what was called a "Flaming Ron" which was advertised as the world's hottest pie because it contained the world's hottest chilli.

My goodness, it put muscles on my breath.

When I lived in the North East there was a restaurant in Newcastle city centre that had a "challenge curry" on the menu and anyone that managed to eat it all didn't have to pay for it.

I don't think that they gave away many free meals

I would have accepted the challenge and got a free meal !

Many years ago I went up to Leicester to see a Palace game at the old ground (Filbert Street) and stayed with friends who lived outside the city.

Went to a restaurant where of course I ordered the hottest curry. The meal was served to me and then I noticed the kitchen staff peering out of the window obviously to see if I could handle it, and handle it I did !!!!

Respect to willo. I can do hot, but not that hot I doubt. Hot spoils the taste really.

Willo, can you or do you eat the hot shoe polish on your popadoms?

Hot is good when backed with flavour. Bit of Scotch Bonnet is definitely preferable to something equally hot on the Phillip Schofield scale but lacks flavour.

My wife keeps telling me that the heat spoils the flavour and milder dishes are far more flavourful.

Many years ago I had a really hot curry in Spain.A Palace supporter who was with us asked if he could have a smidgeon, and when he did so his face went beetroot-gilled and he immediately reached for his beer before disappearing to the toilets. He returned complaining vehemiently then shouted out in my direction "Not even a F...G bead of sweat on you " - he was astonished.

Hot shoe polish on popadoms - LOL !!!!

Yes I do eat hot lime pickle.I get some of my chillies/pickles/spices from 'Hallan' Cash & Carry, in Crawley.I look for the "Extra Hot" on the labels !

Many years ago there was a Japanese show called 'Endurance' where as the name suggests contestants were put through some bizarre tests. As an example the contestants had to eat and eat some of the hottest chilli sauce around and they dropped out one by one with the winner being the person who never dropped out ! Many said I would have been that winner !
