What is the point of calling Parish out now? The season has started and we are in sh1t shape. We have changed manager and can't sign any players so now is the time to suck it up and get on with supporting the team even though it's pretty depressing right now. The time to demand answers is summer next year when we know how the season turned out.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

With data company firmly predicting our crashing out of the Premiership,it is also being reported that Dyche may well be in the frame to replace Wenger in the future,as we prepare for life in the Championship.
Missed opportunity??

I seem to recall that at the time when the potential managers were being discussed no-one wanted Dyche giving Burnley's poor away record as one of the reasons why.

Let's also not forget that it was only just over a year ago that the media were touting Pardew for the England manager's job and we all know how that one panned out.

We'll be lucky. Either no real explanation or BS, spin or waffled flannel on hol radio followed by a ''fair point'' because otherwise there's no more interviews.

The bit that got me was the ''I'm going to put it right.''

Steve, the window is shut. Put it right can you? Any striker capable at prem level won't be a free agent. This isn't the championship. And the Campbell preference? Oh my god.

Do you have Tourette's, or are you just lacking the ability to make your point without using profanity and/or insulting people?

Parish probably shook his hand once so he feels the love and gets very upset if anyone says anything negative.

It was more that people weren't 'excited' by him.

There were claims it was a stable choice, the next Allardyce, prem experience etc.

A lot of it was very logical. And this is the key bit. Frank was not.

Hell, Dyche even has experience bouncing back up. But that relegation puts doubt there, whereas Frank has only really managed the biggest club by far in one of the now smallest leagues around. I said it then that Jordan was right and that received a barrage of sh1t on that thread.

I didn't want Dyche at the time as I thought we could do better (based on his record) and my first and second choices were Silva and Pellegrino; I hadn't given de Boer a second thought. For whatever reason Parish wasn't that interested in Silva and made no real effort to even try to interview him. I don't know what happened with Pellegrino, but he (perhaps wisely) chose Southampton.

When we appointed de Boer I said from the outset that, if he went 3-4-3, we'd be in for a disaster. He did say that he wasn't fixated on that formation, when he clearly was and his "evolution not revolution" statement was also nonsense.

He also said that his 'three at the back' idea best suited our current squad, so any idea that he was expecting major backing in the transfer market holds no water. He was convinced, in short, that he was a tactical genius who could impose his 'system' on any squad. It all begs the question, what did he and Parish discuss at interview?

We just have to hope that Roy can somehow stop us getting cut adrift until January and that we can then strengthen the areas we should have done in the summer. It really will be against all the odds though if we can escape this time.

I agree on every word apart from I did give Dyche more than a second thought. Couldn't believe it when we'd signed Frank, and not because I thought it was inspired.

There was a gif of Brian Blessed as an ecstatic child on HIGNFY on the BBS by an ITK poster days before he signed. This must've been going on in parish's head with none of the yes men around advising otherwise. This is what worries me. Freedman comes in about 10 days before. Prepared to allegedly join in the meeting to hear Frank's plan to get points, but what about advising Parish to get a back up striker whilst your haggling on Sakho weeks before deadline day.

Self preservation. That's probably what.
