Is he really the answer to our striker conundrum? Presumably available on a free.

I have never had much time for Savage as a pundit with his "tabloid" approach.

However, I don't think we can complain too much if "experts" are writing us off. I mean, 7 games 7 defeats and no goals with the prospect of making that 8 after meeting Chelsea.

If we don't want to be consigned to being no-hopers by the journos and pundits then it is up to us to confound them by winning the odd game, but, as it stands, we are really in no position to feel aggrieved.

No not at all...just can't stand the tw*t

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

This confirms my long time belief that Savage you are a total and utter prize w***** and as sh*** at being a pundit as you were a "footballer"

Apologies if posted elsewhere

I fail to see what he's done or said wrong to be fair. The current squad look like they will make that Derby team look like world cup winners.

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

assuming we do stay up, we know that Roy has a two-year contract and realistically won't go on any longer because of his age. The search for a longterm replacement should start at the end of this coming season. That's the sort of business planning that the owners should be working on so that we have our man ready and waiting to take charge of the team.

We had a long term replacement. He lasted 4 games.

we had a longterm replacement hired in 6-weeks. The process needs to start MUCH earlier than that. As someone posted on another thread, all the top clubs will already be courting successors to Mourinho, Guardiola, Conte despite all seeming happy and contracts not expected to expire. It's called planning and any decent business should have one for the unexpected, but not wholly unlikely event of your manager leaving at short notice
