Something to watch out for: Congress was supposed to be debating two new gun laws this week - the relaxation on the restrictions on silencers and the extension of concealed carry permits across all states. I suspect both will be delayed. As an aside, the silencer law has been delayed before, having previously been scheduled right after the Republican congressional baseball team was shot up during practice, gravely injuring Rep. Steve Scalise, who returned to Congress just this week. As has been noted by some of the twitterati, the NRA's twitter feed has been weirdly silent today. Something to watch out for: Congress was supposed to be debating two new gun laws this week - the relaxation on the restrictions on silencers and the extension of concealed carry permits across all states. I suspect both will be delayed.

As an aside, the silencer law has been delayed before, having previously been scheduled right after the Republican congressional baseball team was shot up during practice, gravely injuring Rep. Steve Scalise, who returned to Congress just this week.

As has been noted by some of the twitterati, the NRA's twitter feed has been weirdly silent today.

Gun sales spiked upon the election of Obama and slumped after the election of Trump; the obvious correlation being that gun owners can't be scared into stockpiling guns when a conservative (or whatever the f* Trump is) is in the White House. Well the price of shares in gun manufacturers spiked today. Yep, gun owners will be scared into another round of gun buying after this. It's funny how the conspiracy theorists like Infowars don't look at this and - instead of saying it's a false flag attack on behalf of the opponents of gun rights - say it's a false flag attack by the owners of gun manufacturers as they seem to be the only ones to benefit from these mass shootings.
