Firstly,I asked you a question because of your Polish connection and I'll again. Legaleagle MOVISZ PO POLSKU? TAk O NIE.
Secondly, stop slandering Polish people with your warped mindset and read about the thee real culprits of anti Semitism in Poland I.e. the Communist party.
Ethnic Relations. After 1939, due to the Soviet and German genocides, changes in the country's boundaries, migration, and the expulsion of ethnic peoples by the Communist government of Poland, the country became an almost monoethnic society. Current estimates of the combined non-Polish ethnic populations range between less than one million to more than two million, or between 2 and 5.5 percent of the country's inhabitants.
Some fifteen ethnic groups are numerous enough to be recognized and to appear in statistics. The Germans, Belarussians, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, and Jews have states where members of their nationality are the majority and can be appealed to for political help.

The earliest record of a Jew in Poland is in a letter written in 977C.E.from the Pope instructing the king not to be overly friendly to a Jew. The first ghetto in Poland was created in the fourteenth century when Jews from Spain and Western Europe immigrated and asked for a sector of the city where they could live according to their religion and laws. The request was granted by King Kazimierz III. Until the beginning of the seventeenth century, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was tolerant toward the Jews and even invited them to come and settle. The relationship deteriorated as the fortunes of the Commonwealth declined, and there was a massive immigration of Jews from Germany, and later, from Lithuania and Russia. Relations were exacerbated by the Russian czarist policy of discrimination against Jews and stirring up ethnic antagonisms. The first organized anti-semiticpogrom was in 1881. The last one was on 4 July 1946 in Kielce when forty-two Jews were killed. During World War II, the Soviet Union deported people to central Asia and the Nazis operated death camps. Of the more than three million Jews in Poland in 1939, ninety thousand were left by the end of the war. The communist government-sponsored anti-semitic campaign of 1968–1969 drove out most of those who remained.

Prior to 1989, the Communist government at times denied the very existence of national minorities in Poland.

You know who the real culprits of racism, anti-Semitism, sectarianism and prejudice in general - the people. Not the politicians, they play a part, or the times, but the people who act on their prejudices against others.

The problem of Hitler wasn't his beliefs, but that so many people got behind those beliefs and shared them, acting on them; Hitler never murdered anyone - other people did that for him.

Ultimately, its those people who are to blame, the people who act. Who make the choice, whether through convenience, fear or shared interest, to act.

its not that one man is evil, but that a nation of people lacked the capacity to be good (to paraphrase Primo Levi, I think).

Poland - Catholic Country

The Catholic Church - Virulently Anti-Semitic for well over a century up to and including WW2.

How much the latter's stance had influence on the former is anyone's guess but reading below even if some did have dodgy views only a tiny minority acted upon them.

"Statistics of the Israeli War Crimes Commission indicate that less than 0.1% of Polish gentiles collaborated with the Nazis. Examples of Polish gentile attitudes to German atrocities varied widely, from actively risking death in order to save Jewish lives, and passive refusal to inform on them; to indifference, blackmail and in extreme cases, participation in pogroms such as the Jedwabne pogrom. Grouped by nationality, Poles represent the largest number of people who rescued Jews during the Holocaust."

The FLA has repeatedly stated that its against all forms of extremism.
This includes the slandering of character of an entire nation.

While Europe was experiencing religious wars Poland (as a multinational country) also had many conflicts, wars but they were never provoked by religion.
Poland could actually be seen, according to Jan Drewnowski a professor of Polish University in London as a kind of pioneer of tolerance. Even in medieval times Jews found religious tolerance and economic opportunity in Poland.

The Poles have lost their country and been persecuted as a people up until 1989.
This will no doubt have an effect on some of it's peoples views on foreign invasion including Islam.

People who spout extremist views on this thread is everything we are against. The inability to see past their own blinkered thought process and constantly posting vile invalidations about certain societies without even recognizing any counter arguments are the people society should fear the most.
Or at the very least laughed at

Funnily enough this is the theme of one of my lectures. National mentalities relating to many things, including investment from overseas companies, tend to reflect colonialist history. The Poles were notable for battling against the odds and often suffering mightily as a result. There is still a vestige of that battling spirit in Polish mentality today. Despite being an admirable trait, this can have negative aspects.

Yes, I agree. Maybe real culprits was not a good phrase I should have said one of the many culprits.
Politicians are people too, and so act on their prejudices as well

With every negative comes a positive and vica versa.
As long as people understand there are 2 sides to every story then tolerance could be more tolerant so to speak.
Your lecture sounds interesting btw

Thank you, yes it is. The other part of it is if you want to know how an inward investor will manage a new acquisition look at the colonial history of the country of origin of the investor. We are all want-to-be Americans, unfortunately we haven't yet learned how to be good Americans but we are under training.

If you get bought by the French they will replace everyone in power with a French person.

The Brits just want control of the money.

Mr Choo Choo, for some one who feels you are unfairly stigmatised for your association with the FLA, you may want to think twice before doing exactly what you complain about, namely "stigmatise" me as far left.I am as much far left as you personally are a fascist and have (likely) been involved in anti-sulafist jihadi activities somewhat more than you. Or does being anti-fascist just equate to being a dodgy extremist in your world view?

I oppose all dodgy extremism, not just sulafist jihadi extremism. As a Jewish person,I find "the lads" dressing up adopting the usual crap racist stereotype representation by far right wingers of what Jews are (in the eyes of bigots) all supposed to look like dodgy. If you and others don't we will have to disagree....its a hoary old load of boll**ks and about as accurate as saying all FLA supporters dress like Adolf Hitler and about as funny as watching an old episode of the Black and White Minstrel show.....The fact they say they are the "Yid Army" doesn't make engaging in dodgy stereotypes ok or "funny" any more than some of the dodgy Palace chanting I've heard on the train from Liverpool St to White Hart Lane.

Does it give me sleepless nights? No.

If the person I suggested was an anti semite isn't,no problem. If I made an error about him, happy to apologise.Fact is that a bit of research shows that even amongst the Tottenham FLA lads there have been some creepy fascist sympathiser creatures hanging round.

So,Tommy's not a racist of any sort? Do look back and read my posting on Sunday about the march in Poland and on Monday about dear Tommy's summary of the event.

Here's how a local paper described the "United Against Hate" march in Manchester in June:

"Today's...'Unite Against Hate' march, organised by ex-EDL leader, Tommy Robinson, was supposed to be a 'silent' march to "Honour the victims of hate", after the horrific bomb attack in Manchester.

Instead... (some) protesters... chanted 'Allah is a paedo' and 'No Surrender', and many gave Hitler salutes."

Lovely jubbly.

leagle in reply to the start of your post above the reason im stigmatising you is to show you how you have stigmatised the FLA i dont for one minute think you are happy with these terror attacks as much as i am in all honesty we are probably not that different i do understand your suspicions aswell and worries of the far right wing potentially infiltrating, i really do despise rascism but i do have a problem with a religion that has at its core beliefs of which some are very worrying and disturbing and things that have no place in a modern day western society and the fact you say you are jewish im surprised you dont have the same concerns and yes i know many moderate muslims are good people but i have the same concerns that the hardliners and extremists will dominate in the end unless there is some sort of reform, and believe it or not we actually need people like you on board with us. and as for TR yes its unfortunate that a lot of f***ing idiots latch on to him but i really do believe he has the best intentions for our country at heart and a peacefull future but i will reiterate he is not part of the FLA even if he does agree with what we are trying to do.

dear Mrs May

After the dreadful attack on London bridge you quite rightly identified “The evil ideology of Islamist extremism that preaches hatred and division” we believe this is the main cause of the breakdown of community cohesion in the UK today, if this is dealt with other forms of extremism will lose their raison d’ętre.
As you said in your statement “Enough is enough” we echo that and say never again, we agree that there is no acceptable level of Jihadist terror.
We humbly ask that you consider the following proposals as part of the solution to the problem.
1. High treason charges for returning or returned Jihadists
In 2014 the then Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond revealed that the British Government was considering high treason charges for Islamist extremists in response to the growing numbers of British Jihad fighters travelling to Syria and Iraq to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, now these terrorists are returning we request that HMG charge all returning terrorists with high treason and arrest and charge all returned Jihadists with high treason.
2. Temporary detention of Terror suspects and deportation of non-UK nationals
We request that the 3000 active Jihadists that the security services tell us pose an immediate threat to our people are detained in secure accommodation away from the normal prison population if they are UK subjects, if the suspects are foreign nationals we request they are deported to their country of origin with immediate effect.
3. Transparency relating to the funding of extremism
We request that HMG publishes all information relating to the funding and organization of Islamist organizations in the UK, nonviolent Islamist groups pose a long-term threat to the political and social cohesion of the UK, the public should be fully informed about who supports these groups and the threat they pose to the good governance of the UK.
4. Action against Islamist political groups
Groups who through the legitimate political process are seeking to institute Sharia law in the UK and who have as a goal the establishment of a global caliphate must be challenged by Govt and civil society, the public must be made aware of groups who aim to institute sharia law in the UK. We are also deeply disturbed by the close relationship some MPs seem to have forged with Islamist groups and apologists for Jihad this gives credibility to the terror groups and is a threat to national security.

5. Action against extremist Islamist preachers
We are also extremely concerned about preaching in certain extremist Mosques which incites hatred and violence against Jews, Homosexuals, Christians and other non-Muslim groups, with calls for the murder of “apostates”, “blasphemers” and the“Kafir” these preachers must be investigated for incitement to violence, we are also aware of the fine line between freedom of speech and religion and would ask that action is only taken when violence is incited.
6. Freedom of speech and religion for critics of Islamic theology, ideology and history
The veiled threats from Islamist “human rights” and lobbying groups towards people they consider apostates or blasphemers or “Islamophobes” must stop, these threats are particularly sinister, the Islamist groups use the cover accusation of racism or Islamophobia to silence intellectuals, commentators and ex Muslims who critique the ideology and theology of Islam based on the source texts and history of the faith. No ideology or religion is above critical examination to allow the silencing of critics of classical Islam undermines the fundamental right to freedom of speech and religion, it also undermines the battle against Jihadist ideology and theology.
7. Protection of our Muslim neighbours
The vast majority of our Muslim neighbours are not engaged in terrorism and must be protected from violent attacks from the far right and the ravages of Islamic extremism. They must be set free from the oppression and intimidation of radical groups that seek to control them. We are extremely worried about the oppression of women in Islamic communities and we are also concerned that minorities in Islamic communities are being targeted by extremists whether they be ex Muslims, progressives or small sects like the Ahmadiyya.
We would also call for protection and support for progressive reformist Muslims like the brave men at the Quilliam foundation.
We condemn all violence against Muslims by extreme right-wing groups and lone wolf attackers, the rule of law must always be respected and adhered to, we commit to love our Muslim neighbours as ourselves and to protect them from violence as we would any other British citizen.
8. Increased funding of the intelligence agencies and establishment of QRFs in all UK counties.
We ask that government would exempt the security apparatus from any financial cuts and increase the numbers of operatives that are needed to carry out surveillance on suspects, also we call on HMG to establish QRFs in all cities and counties throughout the UK to deal rapidly with major terror attacks.
We are totally committed to the rule of law and offer our total support to the security forces, security services and police, we are committed to helping on a voluntary basis in any way we can, we want to see the scourge of terrorism in all its forms and in all parts of the UK permanently eradicated.

Sorry to make sweeping generalisations, not about the racist morons who keep me away from FLA, but of the people who join left-wing groups with no compunctions over the subsequent allegiance with anti-semites. And those are the more moderate organisations such as the Labour Party.
