Hollywood love to take the moral high ground by using awards shows to bleat on at how nasty Trump is for sexist comments – but they should get their own house in order before they criticise others. The industry is rife with sexual abuse and exploitation. Weinstein is just one of many.

Weinstein is friends and donors to Hillary and Bill Clinton. Funny how that's buried in news stories. Had it been Trump, the mainstream media would be going huge on it.

If Weinstein had donated to Trump that would have just been one sexual predator and alleged rapist helping another sexual predator and alleged rapist. But yes you are right.

Hilary Clinton has condemned and disavowed Weinstein. Also, Hillary lost the election and is supposed to "go away", according to conservatives.

Meanwhile, Trump owned up to being a sexual predator, his own claims having been corroborated by credible victims, yet remains unabashedly President. When conservatives call for Trump's resignation, then they can go after Clinton for her past association with Weinstein.

Quite amusingly now there's a move going on to remove Weinstein's name from actual productions he's been involved with and the company that bears his name.

Shows you the levels of zealotry that exist over there..Nowadays it's another level...I mean, OJ Simpson brutally knifes to death two people, nearly cutting the bird's head off and still has his name on Naked Gun movies......No one's removed Hitler's name from countless articles.

Kirk Douglas rapes Natalie Wood.....open secret....nothing.

But Hollywood finally gets one of its arsehole big shot producers uncovered for the casting couch and they want to erasure him from history.

All a bit 1984.......He's the new Trump for two weeks.

Ha, what about alleged serial rapist Bill Clinton! And Hillary complicit in covering it all up too.

Not really common knowledge in the UK.

Sorry and he may be guilty of all these things but surely protecting other women should be their concern.
Not worrying about the next paycheck.
Slight irony bearing in mind that if it is true and they are right then work would come flooding in.

Something doesn't ring totally right here !!??

Hillary took 5 days to disavow him. I would like to see her hand his donations to sexual abuse charities.

And yes she should go away. I'm sick of hearing about all the excuses on why she lost, the Russians, Bernie, sexism etc. She lost. And she lost to a reality TV star, probably the worst ever presidential candidate. Says it all.

Oh and what about Bill Clinton's misdemeanours?? Even the stuff he did while in office?

Then you have Roman Polanski. Remember him? The self-righteous egotistical actors like Meryl Streep are fine to criticise Trump for the "grabbing by the pussy" when they don't share the same liberal (sic) politics. But OK to give Polanski a standing ovation at awards shows and sign petitions to stop the US from extraditing him over his sexual abuse. Hypocrisy reeks.

So his wife has left him. The man she obviously married for his money and the lifestyle it gave her. She, of course, is not the only one. How many wags are married to bug ugly sportsmen?
I'm afraid it's these women that marry for money, do nothing but harm to women's causes.
I'm sure she will get a nice settlement which will be consolation for the time she so bravely slept with this seedy man.
Money is power and always will be. You can either marry a man, you truly love, or marry into money and enjoy the riches. But don't be shocked when they turn out to be an a**rsehole.

The bloke even came out and admitted, with the usual caveats of its not really my fault I sexually harass women for decades, but 'the culture'.

F**k him, he's a sex pest.

Why are the speaking up now, because its come out. Remember this guy is one of the most influential people in Hollywood, and a producer of major movies - If you accused him, chances of working in the future were non-existent (even if you never worked for him, producers fund major motion pictures - do the math of how that influence could f**k your career).

I love the way he plays the victim by publicly announcing he's flying to Europe to see a sex therapist and for other behavioural problems like we're supposed to feel sorry for him! Probably code for dirty weekend in Amsterdam anyway.

I'm sure there are a lot of nervous directors and producers in Hollywood who will be concerned that budding young actresses from years ago who considered this behaviour to be the norm at the time may feel comfortable changing their minds. About time.

He is guilty, he admitted it, in a statement (although not the more serious allegations). At least there is that.

Ideally yes, but lets be honest, people think of themselves first in most situations, rather than a hypothetical other.

And of course, nothing would come of it. The industry would close ranks, protect their own, the police would at best give it a cursory once over - and bang there you are, years of your life wasted pursuing a career that is no deader than Jimmy Hoffa.

People have a high moral view about this, but people in the same situation would rarely be moral enough to sacrifice their career and prospects, on a small chance of getting justice.
