Does anyone think that protesting will help the team as we try to turn things around? Realistically it will only further demoralise the squad and bring more negative attention to the club.

If we can manage to make up ground and not be cut adrift by Christmas then I imagine we'll see the usual January shopping spree. Hopefully we can pull off yet another great escape and then next Summer we will be more pragmatic in our approach rather than relying on this ridiculous last chance saloon methodology.

As far as I'm concerned Parish wants what's best for the club he just needs to learn from his mistakes. I would him over an oligarch with deep pockets and a dubious past any day of the week.

At the 3rd or 4th time of asking. Sadly I think he just doesn't because the mistakes he either escapes from with luck of the right man being available or with huge expense in the January window that causes more problems the following summer. (The idea is to minimise problems not add to them) Actually it's both and until the feared scenario since about 3 years ago happens it won't change. With a football man in Freedman next to him it didn't, did it?

Wrong. After seven games in that season we had scored six goals and had two points.

Agreed if you want to nit pick, but we went 16 games without a Win that season.
That included a league cup game.
Relegated to the old division 3.
My Worst evening ever supporting the Palace at Cardiff.

As this season is probably done and dusted for us most probably losing 8 games in a row and no fit strikers, does anyone want to donate some money to fly a plane over selhurst with some sort of protesting banner? Im spending so much money with nothing in return.

What will you get in return for hiring a plane?

It's all a bit Newcastlesque so for that reason, nah, you're alright fella.

Bit early to protest, there isn't really anything that can be achieved before Jan 1st when the transfer window opens.

Realistically, out of the games we've had, less than half of them we'd have expected to get anything out of.

I think we're probably going down this season, but I can't really blame anyone (we spent 30m on a striker, 30m on a defender, so its not like they haven't tried to get quality in).

Yeah we needed other players in the Summer, but how much money was there to burn.

I believe you'll also find that the area's proximity to the Crystal Palace transmitter makes it a no-go area. I'm sure we tried to arrange something a while back for a fly over when Charlton were playing us - and it was not possible.

At least as much as we were about to sign contracts on Niasse or Tosun for. It's not that the money wasn't there or we JUST put all our eggs in one basket. We left it too late again, as Parish does every Summer with some of us saying that alone will relegate us one season. There's also extending Delaney and Kelly wasn't it, when a month later we signed Riedewald and loaned in Mensah and stuck to the intention of bargaining down Sakho's transfer fee as well.

This isn't because 'it's our time' or we've run out of money or any other creative or defeatist reason I've seen on the BBS or heard on hol radio since Sunday. It's due to awful decisions and intentions this summer after the same the previous summer. The Campbell regret is so laughable amongst the waffle I couldn't believe it. Then 'we're going to fix it' when the window's closed and only the worst of the worst available for several levels below prem are available.

I'm beginning to think relegation is a good idea to clear this approach that doesn't consider the requirements for a squad to be half equipped and together earlier. Downside is it might work in a 46 game season so it continues with new managers every 6 months again following bad calls if the obvious isn't counting on using us for his advertisement.
