Apparently he wanted them spread on Saddleworth Moor, which is the only reason I'd be against this.

There is always Dartmoor!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

When I was lad and we all had coal fires, ashes were put down in alleys to keep the weeds down.

Horrific play on words wisely censored.

The contents of my wheelie bin do not have rights. I consider the remains of Ian Brady to have similar status.

You don't need to consider it at all. A person's ashes have no "human rights", and a person's own human rights don't extend beyond their death. So people saying that Brady "deserves" to have his ashes treated with respect are simply wrong. I sense that this whole story arises from yet another smart-arse lawyer whose time would be better spent dealing with something that actually matters.

'punishing' a load of ashes, is a bit like closing the stable door, . . .
Meaningless posturing by the establishment

In my view "the establishment" needs to have more balls. If it had been down to me, I would have simply "lost", or "failed to retrieve" the ashes from the cremation process (it happens...a lot). Then the d*ckhead lawyer would have had just one option: "Stick that up your pipe and smoke it"

So, presumably you'll be tipping your mum and Dad's remains on the compost heap?

Why do you presume that?
