We can’t debate if you don’t actually believe the point that you at debating. It’s no longer a moot point that you’re trying to make.

If you want to compare stats, Speroni has now had 10 shots to save in 3 games and let in 4 of them - a save rate of 60%. WH had 45 shots to save in 7 games and let in 17 of them - a save rate of 62%. So WH actually has the better stats, although the team are doing better as a whole now (more likely because the management are sorting out the defence, and we have Zaha back, and we are not away at Man U and Man C in successive weeks).

god your unreal, you ever tried to save a ball thats traveling at 50mph from 8 yards, going by what you have said you must be the best goalkeeper in the land and Palace well any team havent signed you

Well you have been debating WH for 4 years for with point , why should it stop now ?

We tried replacing WH and failed , and we all said we will have to put up with him until a worthy successor was found but you decided to carry on the constant blame and shame.
Now we have Jules in goal and surprise, surprise , no improvement , in fact he is costing us points based on the standards you have set for WH .

Not the last time I looked. We’ve got 4 points out of the 3 games that Julian As an integral part of the team that means that he’s gaining us points. Hennesey on the other hand had 0 points in 7 games. In the important position of a goal keeper, that means he played a major part In the disastrous start we made to the season as a team. He’s been removed and we’ve started to get points. Not really hard to see it.

Yes we should have won yesterday and we didn't because of the keeper. Thing is the keeper was Hart, not Speroni.

So what do you suggest? Bring back Wayne? -17 in 7 games? Thats gonna help! We cant do anything til January due to the incompetence of Parish, so what should we do...? Carry on with Jules until he actually makes a big error or bring back Hennessey and have the big error next game as usual?

PS The reason we didnt win was because of Hart!

My point is that we've had the campaign against Hennessey for years on here with him being blamed for every goal we concede (it is an urban myth that he made 'big errors' every game), yet Speroni is never blamed for any goal he concedes - always someone else's fault or it was unstoppable. Stat prove there is little between the keepers - in fact WH has done better this season than JS. The difference is that WH had to face Liverpool, Man C and Man U away so had a lot more shots to deal with (29 in those 3 games alone) and let in a lot more goals accordingly. Apart from Chelsea, Speroni has faced Newcastle and a very poor W Ham side, and the reason we've done better with him in the side is that we've had Zaha back, not that we've had Speroni back. Sorry, but you can't do worse that let in 2 shots from 2 on target.

Absolute rubbish - your argument makes no sense at all (as usual). Circumstantial evidence at best. How is Speroni gaining us points? By letting in 2 shots out of 2 and making no saves?

It doesn’t matter. We’re picking up points with him in the team. Weren’t with Hennesey in the side. Unless you love Hennessey above Palace then surely even you can see that we’re doing much better since Julian has been in goal for us. I’m not saying that it’s because of Julian, i’m Just saying that the team has stopped the rot and that we’re turning things around since he’s been in the team. Can you confirm or deny this please?

Speroni may inspire more confidence in our players or help organise our defence better. These are the intangibles that we can't know for sure. Hennessey does not look confident whereas Speroni is very experienced at difficult times. I certainly believe most fans would pick Speroni over Hennessey. It is true that, overall, the team has done better with Speroni and Roy has seemingly noticed this too.
