One of my biggest criticism of Hennessey is that his distribution is terrible.

Speroni's hasn't been great but at the end of the game yesterday he was getting the ball back up the pitch really quickly. If it wasn't for that urgency we wouldn't have scored.

The defence have the confidence to pass back under pressure, Speroni isn't great at distributing but he is calm and the defenders look more comfortable passing to him.

Hennessy is like Puncheon but in goal. When the ball comes back to him he slows everything down, he takes ages to distribute it and it's usually a bang average hood up field. Jules was getting it back in to midfield with short simple balls and was a big part of setting off our constant attacks.

Answer this honestly, what would Wayne have done in the 97th minute when we got the ball back. To me it's obvious. He would have rolled the ball forward a couple of times then waved his arms to get everyone forward, then shanked it up to Hart.

I don't hate Wayne like people suggest, I will support him when he plays, but it's clear as day for me that Jules is the better choice for the way we play right now.

How some on here are saying Speroni is costing us points I find unbelievable. Neither Hennesey or Speroni are the answer but Jules is the better of the two in my opinion. Both strikes yesterday would have beaten most keepers. We all new at the start of the season a new keeper was essential but the club failed to deliver. Mirrored by the failure to sign a striker.

What has cost us is a very poor managerial appointment in Frank and also a shocking laid back approach in the transfer window from Parish and Co

Unless you love Hennessey above Palace then surely even you can see that we’re doing much better since Julian has been in goal for us. I’m not saying that it’s because of Julian, i’m Just saying that the team has stopped the rot and that we’re turning things around since he’s been in the team. Can you confirm or deny this please?

What a stupid thing to say! Obviously we've picked up more points since he's been in the team as we had none before then. But it's not down to him. Try and understand simple maths - Hennessey faced 45 shots in 7 games and let in 17 goals; Speroni has faced 10 shots in 3 games and let in 4 goals. Hennessey has better stats (62% of shots saved c/w 60%) but faced a lot more shots (not his fault surely?) and consequently let in more goals. More valid surely as to why we've been doing better is that we've actually scored some goals, down to Zaha being back in the side and Puncheon not so.

No - his kicking is accurate and normally finds the head of Benteke (when he's playing). Speroni does these awful kicks with backspin that just hang in the air and are easy pickings for defenders. Yes, Speroni started the move that led to the equalizer yesterday, but it was just a roll-out to a defender a few yards away, not exactly difficult.

My comment was based on the speed of distribution. One of our strengths is how fast we can break out of defence. Hennessey just hangs onto the ball forever even one other players are screaming for it. By the time he makes a decision all our players are marked again.

That’s all that matters in my book. No need to debate any further is there. You’re simply arguing to continue the argument but it’s over. Drop it and move on before you make yourself look even more silly.

The first goal was hit first time from about 8 yards out like a rocket. I was right behind it and it flew in. It might have hit a keeper and stayed out had it been hit straight at him. But it wasn't and although he got a hand to it, there's no way it was his fault it went in. If you have to blame anyone for this it was whoever left the over-lapping left back unmarked.

The second goal was hit just under the crossbar from 20 yards. A 6' 7" keeper might have stopped it but I doubt it. Again, if you have to blame anyone, Luka lost the ball in midfield and then Dann failed to tackle the scorer and also allowed him to turn back onto his favoured left foot.

Not every goal conceded is a goalkeeper's fault. Goals go in, no matter who the keeper is. Is there a West Ham thread blaming Hart for Wilf's goal?

You are of course correct and had a great view. The first also took a deflection off Tomkins.

Jules had little chance with either of the goals yesterday just as Wayne wasn't to blame for any of Bristol City's on Tuesday.

Some seriously misguided rubbish being posted on here now.

The stats prove otherwise. Speroni is costing us points - we should have won yesterday.

There was only one goalie that cost us the points yesterday and it wasn't Speroni.

Hart made 7 saves from 9 shots on target; Speroni made no saves from 2 on target. You're happy with that? If WH had been in goal would you still have been happy?

So he let in the same amount of goals as Hart. What’s your point?

If both rolled trough his legs obviously not. Hennessey let in 4 goals from 5 on target from championship Bristol City. Like I said earlier, if it's the keepers fault I'll call it. Against Bristol, IMO none of them were Wayne's fault. Yesterday they weren't Julian's IMO, so no I have no problem with that.
Seriously the hate on here for Hennessey, Speroni, Kelly, PvA, Punch, Ward and Benteke plus the w***fest whenever Murray scores a goal I sometimes think I'm on north stand chat.
