Yes. Big Ben by the looks of it.

haha true, but he'll be back in there, purely cos a club our size cant put a player on £110,000 a week on the bench.

Why not? We should be playing our in form players not necessarily our most expensive. If he isn't giving us what we need, play men who are.

Once Roy has the team playing as an effective unit again , and the have been improving since he started, we will see the best of Benteke.

Yes quite agree. He has looked off form, looked lazy even and should also have put some of those chances away however we havent played to his strengths yet this season in fairness to him. He'll come good with the rest of the team back in form. He needs service. Not really the type of player to create on his own.

Is dodgy ground on here putting cabs and mcarthur together in there but they delivered against CL quality. I say, we’ll in

Without a shadow should be the same as Saturday but with RLC in for Jeffrey. Great setup and the best ive seen for a long time

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

Of course, none of us know how long Bentekkers has been carrying his injury, prior to it actually needing his absence... as we all know, he's looked off the pace for weeks before going awol and the club aren't going to,admit he's carrying an injury, are they.

Hi.
RLC is an excellent footballer.
However - Jimmy Mac's sublime disguised pass which completely filed Alonso and led to our first goal of the Season and set us on our way, came from someone who cannot be left out of the starting 11.
Roy has to find a place for RLC with Jimmy Mac.

Perhaps drop Schlupp back to LB and drop van Aanholt. Hard to see who could be dropped from Saturday's performance - nice position to be in!

Speroni
Ward Dann Sakho Schlupp
Cabaye Milivojevic McArthur
Zaha Loftus-Cheek Townsend

Lots of scope for the kind of swapping round and changing places to confuse defenders there. And we would have Fosu-Mensah, Puncheon, Tomkins, Bakary Sakho and Souare or van Aanholt for the bench. Not too bad.

I'm just loving this thread, everyone. Healthy debate about who to leave out of a Palace team. Loving it!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

You should always stick with a winning team when the performance is good. Sends the right message to everyone that if they work hard, do their jobs and play well, they play the following week.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue

Fine, but what about the message it sends to the others who work hard, do their jobs and play well (in training) - and who may actually be a better choice than the incumbent?

Roy probably starts with same team come Newcastle, but Schlupp certainly has to give way for RLC. Not McArthur....
