He was also a huge fan of my favourite band The Wedding Present (wearing their shirt on NMTB) & appeared on David Gedge’s “other” band Cinerama’s song Sly Curl. So he ticked 2 boxes to make him a favourite of mine. Very funny man that will be missed.

Enjoy The Ride!

Minute's applause tribute at next home fixture please. Let's raise the roof for Hughesy as we did on Saturday...

Good idea!

I'll always remember him on the 'Christmas at the Palace' video. Someone has put it on YouTube [Link]

RIP Sean
Always liked the Christmas at the Palace thing he did in 92 with a few of the lads an the bloke from Bread.
Very sad to lose him, especially at that age, but also quite alarming as I’ve had mild liver failure from over endulging a couple of years ago, an was only Saturday night I had to come home from the pub with liver pain, then for this to happen to our poor Hughesy today

Its very sad news to hear about Sean & he was a very funny guy but more importantly a top man!I had the honour of meeting him many times at Selhurst & in pubs nearby. We had alot in common, we both loved a drink & spliff, had the same taste in music(Smiths,Morrissey,Cure, etc)& our love for Palace.

He was very down to earth & didn't act like a celebrity. He once gave me tickets for 1 of his shows & a very generous guy.If I knew where the funeral is I would go to show my respects to him.
