Bristol City Cup Game. PARKING QUERY

Morning all
Driving from Kent to the cup game at ashton gate next week. Park and ride apparently closes at 9.30 which rules out using it to park. Does anyone who has actually been there or lives in the area know where I can park. Checked the B.C. club website and it's the usual use public transport / parking is very limited spiel. It mentions a nearby cricket club but says it's limited.

Leave the M5 at Junction 18 and travel along the Portway (A4) following signs for the Bristol Airport/Taunton A38. As you go over the swing bridge (Brunel Way), branch left into Winterstoke Road, and you will see the ground on your left.

Parking at the ground is for permit holders only. Mitch Ford informs me; 'Parking around Ashton Gate has been severely hindered recently in that many streets now have double yellow lines. There is the Bedminster Cricket club on Clanage Road (A369) that offers parking at a cost of £5 per car. It is then around a 5-10 minute walk to the stadium'. There is also the option of renting a private driveway near Aston Gate via YourParkingSpace.co.uk.​ Otherwise it is a case of finding some street parking.

Head for Bedminster Cricket Club. You may be lucky and get on street parking but if not it is £5. The bar should be open for food and drinks and it is close to the away end.

Look up Frayne Road, thats where im hoping to park but im also hoping to be there for 5ish.

Parking in Bristol is hell. The local council don't particularly encourage car use.

Some city centre car parks open late but its then oubluc transport to ground.

Yes I went there a few years ago and it was a nightmare but that was over the twixmas.

Will write down these suggestions and try them one by one . Thanks

There's a massive multi-story by Park Road (College Gree), which isn't far from the centre (about a 10/15min walk), and can bus it in.

I'm coming from Bath, so I'll be bussing it in aswell!
