Is this the future or just a fad?

I love it, annoying when I miss a delivery and if someone lost their key or you wanted to let someone else in, great product

Hmm. Don't you think it could quite easily be hijacked by robbers? I'd be quite sceptical. Maybe better to have a lockable box or similar out front, then they couldn't get at other things.

I've always wondered how no had one stepped in with an solution to the ridiculous problem of couriers only trying to deliver while most people are at work. I thought there'd be a fortune to be made with the alternative, but then I just decided to get things delivered to work, and when that wasn't possible I found the couriers had already partnered with other businesses like newsagents to allow them to deliver there instead.

It was only recently though I had to go 30 miles to Dartford to pick something up and there still remain issues in actually getting stuff to your home.

It's just using iot architecture...I have the Yale lock on one of my flats in Margate which I use for Air BnB...I simply set up an access code (on my phone), give it to the guest and set it to allow access for the length of the stay, afterwhich it wont allow access.

Good to see mainstream companies finding a use for IoT though which should help it grow.

Great but simple technology. My flats which were built 10 years ago simply have buzzers (no trade button) and a fob access along with individual locks on each landing. Oh and mailboxes inside the block so the only deliveries that make it inside are from the postie, who has a fob.
