I think Ward is possibly the most scapegoated player in Palace history. In a defensive set up under Roy, he looks fine to me. Pretty much every full back in world football has deficiencies, very few are good at both getting forward and defending. I remember in the last World Cup, Marcelo defensively looked like Titus Bramble yet now he's apparently the best LB in the world. I always will maintain the fact that we could do a lot, lot worse than Ward.

And I hope so, as I currently have a little more faith in Sakho finishing chances than RLC.
