He was. Averaged a goal every two games. Wilf averages a goal every ten which is very puzzling considering his natural flair. He should be getting goal every three.

He's got a goal every two games this year so far.

Easily a legend already, how many people in the past have solely got a team promoted, kept them up? Without Zaha we have no hope, with him it is still possible.

In terms of all time 11- Samson? It’s like comparing him to Nigel Martyn, different positions. Easily slots into that 11!

Think I would still choose the 1990-1992 John Salako and pre-injury plsyer over Wilf but only by the width of a pubic hair

Then thank goodness it's not you who picks the team 😊

Rubbish, Salako isn't half the player Wilf is, Zaha dosent have Wright & Bright in the centre, he has no one

Fvckin ell Kermit, Zaha's in a different stratosphere. Even if you discount the different skill levels in their eras, salako could never take on several players, and dribbling towards goal. Salako would take one on and cross round him or check back and deliver in the mixer where there were usually dog sh1t defenders vs a top top striker and another who was top 6 level in the day.

Salako and Townsend are comparable. It salako and wilf.

Apparently too sh!t for England according the West Ham fans today. Bet they were spewing at the the end.

Choice between England and Ivory Coast not as hard as some would suggest IMO.

With respect Rudi i think time has diluted for you just how good Mr Salako was. In that team that came third he was probably the very best of the 11 technique-wise.

That actually makes Salako's efforts even better if you take into account practically every attack back then was looking for Mark and Ian to finish it off.
