Murray didn't do anything wrong, Murray asked for a transfer as he wanted first team football. Just like when he transferred to Brighton. Again, him asking for a transfer to get first team football.

Murray deserved first team football. Murray wasn't given it. So Murray quite reasonably asked to be sold. What part of that do people fail to understand? We couldn't score a goal for months afterwards. I'm not that bothered about the rights and wrongs of Murray's case, but that sort of decision-making explains a lot about where we are today.

Didn't want to be the back up striker, was great for us but now plays for another team.

I think the major issue isn't that Murray was sold (£10m for Murray, that was a very good deal I thought at the time), it's that it wasn't reinvested into a new striker.

i remember chanting a song towards a walsall striker called junior (i think) back in 2004 calling him a hermaphrodite.

joke was on us he scored 2 goals in the 1st 10 mins, think we won 4-3 tjo AJ with an van-basten esq volley. one of the best goals ive ever seen live
