So Brighton have identified the areas they need reinforcing and have brought 2 in before the last day. Shock horror. And they haven’t got Master Freedman.

They signed Locadia.

I was pointing out that it's not uncommon for strikers coming from the Netherlands who are considered to be very good in that league don't always cut it here, with Vincent Janson has a good recent example. He was also in a much better side than Brighton. Alfonso Alves also springs to mind. Memphis Depay, although doing well in Ligue 1 was underwhelming. Players in other positions have done well but playing up front is much more difficult, and good PL quality strikers difficult to find!

Bergkamp is the only one who instantly comes to mind as a big success, but he was a genius.

Ulloa I'm not bothered about, however he would have been better than no one!

Robin van Persie, Ruud van Nistelroy and Dirk Kuyt did ok as well, I would say.

Fair point!

I'd perhaps rephrase and say the Dutch league ain't what it used to be!

Would prefer to stick with Sako than have Ulloa.

Ulloa has done very little since he left the weed and I'm glad he hasn't joined us.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Maybe we should buy Murray back. Can't see him getting much game time for them now....

I forgot he came from Ajax!

Maybe Locadia will start banging them in for the weed then. Though given he's injured for another couple of weeks he'll only have 12 or so games to find his feet and by then it'll be into their difficult run. I reckon he'll get 2 goals and Ulloa 2 as well and they will go down.
