It's the right move for him. He'll miss Palace but we can always get him back in 6 years on a free. Spurs and the way they play. He will love it. He just needs to improve a small bit to fit in with Kane and Alli.

Is a lot of it with Wilf that he knows he has to do it all himself here though?

The equaliser on Saturday for example, 9 times out of 10 that gets snuffed out by defenders and in reality Wilf definitely should have squared it across the box.

Obviously though, even if he had missed and we lost 2-1, no one would complain because if he had put it across the box the likelihood is one of our players from 2 yards out would have skied it over the crossbar!

Now imagine if he done that at Tottenham, with Alli and Kane standing in the box poised for a tap-in. He'd get absolutely chewed out.

Now you could just say that's all part and parcel of learning how to progress and it's relatively simple to learn to pass to Kane in that situation rather than try and beat the last man but Wilf doesn't seem to operate like that.

If you send Wilf out there with a list of specific instructions like 'you must cross if you are in this situation', 'you must pass back low in this situation' etc it over-complicates football for him and when he can't express himself he seems an average player.

Just food for thought and hopefully never a problem Tottenham have because he stays with us.

You cannot blame him for wanting to compete at the highest level both in the Champions league and winning trophies and Premiership titles with a so called big club.

Such a short career.

So long as we are in the Premier League, I don't think he will be going anywhere for a while

Have a feeling something was written into the latest contract he signed that benefited both parties but unless it's a seriously game changing amount in January & us already having someone top class onboard to replace him I can't see him going anywhere until the summer, that said, we screwed up not getting a striker in a few months back.

This boy doesn't leave a job half done. I mean leaving before the end of this season. He proved that with the Man Utd loan back. After this May, who knows. Will want to try that top level.

Wilf is on £110k a week and I can't see Spurs offering more than this which probably means that Wilf will be a Palace player until we are relegated and can't afford him.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Don't tell me Levy's willing to go to £20m.
Unless Wilf has a buyout clause, Spurs will not offer enough. There are two prices, one if we want to sell, £50m and one if we don't and we don't, so they'd have to bid north of £80m IMO. Hopefully there's no buyout.
Wilf loves being the big fish, so he's revelling in it right now, why would he leave. Plus sell Wilf and it means we've given up, so who the f*** would want to sign for us in January?

Trophies, titles, Europe, international recognition (i.e. being recognised internationally as being among the world's top players rather than simply earning caps)

Apparently it started from a Spurs blog that has little credibility with Spurs supporters as it never gets anything correct
