Wow, it took all of about 2 posts before this got derailed in the usual way and only about a handful of posts on topic in the whole thread.

Much like the attack in Westminster, most of the victims are from other countries, which you'd suspect even the attacker wasn't trying to achieve?

"Take that America, oh alright... Argentina and Belgium..."

Multiculturalism; the bane of everyone's lives.

Maybe in some bizarre way this is a good thing. Reduces the publicity ISIS receives.

They aren't particularly interested in publicity as there is always going to be publicity for attacks. The Internet provides access to supporters...so it's just the default terror tactic.

Apart from just killing you as the disbeliever they want to undermine your belief in the state's capacity to keep you safe. That set groups to defend themselves and hence attack each other and start a civil war....so the thinking goes.

Then they emerge as victors from that war....or so the thinking goes.....But I doubt any really believe that.

They tried and partly succeeded in Iraq....it didn't work because of the demographics.

So really...it's just for zealots to strike at the enemy to gain access to heaven.

Yes. Enough is enough. Internment for all Muslims. It's the only answer. Sorry Mamadou.

Who is suggesting 'internment for all Muslims'? You offer nothing but you sure like to demonise anyone looking for effective responses.

Stripping of nationality and deportation to paid countries for radicals we have proof on.

National strategy on Islam in Britain given to Islamic reformers.

Immigration policy that encourages secular Muslims in favour of overtly religious ones. In fact secular people in general

We have a population problem in this country from the success of a high life expectancy and too many immigrants coming in.

We only want those we need.

Apart from obliterating IS there's little that can be done.

Isn't it 4,000 people known to be a risk? U.K. citizens we no doubt have nowhere to put them and if we did we'd need a concrete reason, and by the time there is, they've vanished from Tower Hamlets or Luton.

Say if we did deport or use serious means to limit what people can do or go, I get the feeling things could get worse. I'm not scared of Britain reacting in this way but that's where I feel it could end up going. More losers standing up for previous losers.

The best we can do is limit any adding to the numbers and have some clue as to who enters western countries. I bet they don't have much of one.

By last count there was over twenty thousand on watch lists. As the percentage goes up...as birth rates indicate it will...the population is doubling every ten years..hence so will the number of radicals.

In other words the problem will worsen anyway. No action is not a sensible policy....but it's the policy anyway because that's the policy of least resistance.

You would have a period where it would get worse....Resistance to change is inevitable.

But our direction is set by fools and cowards. Still, you get to comment on it.

Only Argentina's and Belgium's culture isn't that different to our's compared to a death cult from the middle east in the name of Islam.

I don't see boroughs emptying of British people because of migration into the area from similar cultures.

Possibly - although its worth remembering that prior to 2001 the number of radical muslim terrorists in the UK was effectively a zero, and this is very specifically a problem, with a specific section of Sunni Muslims (the same issue doesn't seem to be a problem in relation to Shia Muslims).

Radicals aren't born, they're made, and 20 years ago, there definitely wasn't a problem with Islamic terrorism in the UK.

But we do need to be aware that there is a need to find resolutions to deal with the appeal of this Islamist cause - and that will be a long term problem - Islam isn't going to just disappear in the UK - and nor is this cancer within a section of the UK muslim population - There will always be some to whom this kind of death cult mentality will appeal.

It was a joke, mate.

Twenty years ago, there were under one percent of Muslims living in the country. There are under one percent of Muslims living in Japan now and they have never had attacks either.

Islam isn't going to disappear in the UK, that is true...it's a faith like any other.

But Islam is a faith with popular doctrines that have inherent rejections of integration and westernization. They rightly know it leads to secularization.

Islamic reformers have ideas on overcoming these issues. But they are demonised rather than backed.

The Shia/Sunni aspect is an interesting aspect that can be explored.
