direwolf a friend request will be making its way to your inbox imminently, I am deeply touched by your comments, sometimes I feel that I actually hate watching football but enjoy watching Palace, which is not actually a contradiction in terms. But you have taken this several steps further. I salute you.

I find that I do not watch match of the day,in fact I avoid watching football in general. I do not look at league tables or bother to read newspaper articles written by self styled football pundits. I attend the games and have a minimum of 3 pints beforehand and it is still an enjoyable social occasion generally only spoiled by the football, although we have played much better of late. It’s probably fair to say I have fallen out of love with football and I actually am a lot better for it. I even avoid coming on HOL because generally there are 1 or 2 posters that are not content unless they have succeeded in making everyone ‘s else life a misery. I'd go along with this

Whenever I think about that wonderful TV play, "Abigail's Party", I remember the young man whose wife was a drunken bore and kept on about how he had played "a few times" for Crystal Palace. He didn't seem so keen to talk about it. Actor John Salthouse played DI Galloway in The Bill and, given to believe, was on Palace's books in his yout'. His son William is a prominent football agent. It has been reported that he represents several of our players.
