It depends on what kind of terrorism we are talking about. Is it systematic use of terror, manifesting itself in violence or intimidation, for generating fear. Normally used by Islamic groups or a
technique used by Governments to manipulate public opinion in order to further an agenda.

There are interesting discussions to be had on the different ways that Islamic terrorism would be vastly reduced.

However when you refer to the IRA and what happened there you have to recognise that Irish republicanism and Islamism are two completely different worldviews with wholly different types of end games.

This idea that we haven't tried talking isn't accurate. We spoke to the Taliban who would listen. Much money changed hands trying this strategy.

IS for example have already addressed points like yours...titled deliberately to answer these questions, 'why we hate you', 'why we fight you'.

This has probably been kept from you by the filtering that goes on by some media and most political groups who don't want you thinking about this stuff. Some people self filter because they don't want to know or reject it because it runs counter to their politics....People are free to their own politics but when this topic comes up and questions asked...people deserve to hear reality.

By the way, we haven't resolved nothing in Ireland. We have an agreement with the majority of republicans and power sharing in NI....that's the extent of it.....people have been murdered since and security and intelligence services are still engaged.

Yes but it is nowhere near the scale it was before the talks.
As I first posted have we become immune and less shocked by it in any form that we see terrorism as.
Personally the political form as stated; with propoganda and non disclosure is not the type I'm referring to.

This might be true for you and others but I haven't become used to it.

I have two small boys growing up into this and I'm most definitely not immune to what awaits them.

As I say, a lot of filtering goes on.

Should never get 'used to it', it's vile, but also shouldn't let it affect you so much that you become irrational, paranoid and thus bigoted to others who have nothing to do with it and are just disgusted by it as much.

When my children are adults the Islamic percentage within the country will probably be around 15 percentage as it has been doubling every decade. The secularists among them are fine.

Still, with that increase the number of radicals will....well at least be double what it is now.

I'm not paranoid, that's just logical.
