It is worth remembering that the Skylark has two snugs - one, the outside area (in current weather sitting snugly in thermals as you enjoy your pint); go upstairs to the toilets and there is a vast amount of upstairs space that can be made intimate. Although the beer is highly priced, the Dispensary on Leman Street (Aldgate) does have an outside area - that is quite private.

Happy drinking.

I recall The Dulwich Woodhouse underwent a similar change around 7 years ago. The 'drinkers' bar was turned into a dining area and dogs were banned and children allowed.
Turned into an awful place where they served a portion of chips (six of them) in a poxy mug. Remember seeing a big buy turn on staff for only giving him 2 small roast potatoes on his Sunday Lunch plate.

Always liked the Barrow Boy and Banker, but obviously diners have more money to spend than us poor drinkers.
Drinkers are a dying breed so to speak

Many years ago when our daughter was young we used to frequent the 'Dulwich woodhouse' and sit in the garden where our daughter used to avail of the children's facilities.
Once saw Julia Sawalha over there. Her Mum and Dad (An actor, Nadim Sawalha) used to live nearby on Beulah Hill.

Sorry about that, Becky. Would have been delighted to have been bought a pint by you.
