Believe me, I'm no fan of any manager who leaves a Tony Pulis type mark on a club that they usually have to live with for years after their departure. But strictly from a fire fighting point of view, I'd go as far as saying he's probably one of the best at what he does in the world.

If Wales do decide they'd rather not have the national team playing the footballing equivalent of rugby, then we should be worried. Because a fellow relegation rival will pick him up at some point, and there is no doubt they'll end up staying up.

For the record I wouldn't take Pulis back for the reason originally quoted by Kermit in another thread about this: standards and principle. Sometimes these things are bigger than just Parish-esque worming your way out of everything then claiming glory.

I think it's about time we stop just doing whatever it takes for artificial success that won't ever last and start building the club from the bottom up, regardless of if we go down or not.
