I notice that for a leftie you don't seem to follow your leader's mantra for politeness in politics and as it seems that your understanding of economics is only geared to the wealthy middle classes in the South East perhaps I should remind you that the tens of thousands of retired factory workers and miners etc in the less prosperous industrial heartlands have to struggle through life in their council houses on just a state pension.

So why should you have triple lock protection as a high rate taxpayer.

Please explain.

Those people struggling thru as you say on a meagre pension, why should your wealth be protected at all.

Yes, why should you have more money than some other people? Obviously your money should be taken away from you and be given to someone who has less than you. Then everything will be wonderful - history proves that doesn't it - well at least history according to left wing fantasists.

JC lost his composure, and resorted to shouting. He is right about social care though which needs reviewing ASAP. I don't like his repetitive style of debating though, it's like he isn't heard so needs to keep repeating.

Nice to see the Government taking some positives from the Labour manifesto. And good for me regarding stamp duty considering I am close to buying!

All in all, no drastic changes, but a better budget.

Have to agree..I was looking forward to his concise and insightful picking apart of the budget...but instead the same stale old arguments. It wasnt even as if he delivered them with anything like the recently found charisma....again, stilted, floundering and bland.

V disappointing

Miners have a final salary pension, which is guaranteed by the government.

I agree that this and previous government have neglected the regions and continue to do so, while enriching the already rich.

Thankfully Labour have pledged to tackle such regional inequality.

Think that has probably something to do with his script writer not being there anymore....bit of a naughty boy I believe.

I agree, as I've intimated elsewhere on the site and regarding some other posters also.

Listen to Ed Miliband's podcast episode on that very topic. Quite interesting points. I found it quite compelling having not been massively in favour. Ed's all the rage these days it seems, with the Tories taking another one of his policies today (to stop developers land banking). Boris once described it as "Mugabe-esqe". U-turn Tories.

I agree with abolishing stamp duty.

For a few reasons, IMO. He's not the leader, he's not Corbyn and he's learned how to take the mick out of himself and others..

Final Salary in 1985 wasn't particularly high
