My WBA supporting colleague is devastated by the appointment. Heard Pardew’s drivel on the radio and turned it off in anger. Is convinced they will be relegated.

IF the main criteria of WBA was to appoint a manager with PL experience then of course they have appointed someone who has managed in over 300 games in this league. Perhaps the promotions and a cup final appearance was appealing to them as well.

I suppose Willo would say that Pardew did err from time to time but his performances were subject to forensic examination after the game and critical incidents were reviewed. Mur right?

Pardew's record when taking over a PL club in mid-season - Points-per-game Charlton 2006-07 Before Pardew 0.63 Under Pardew 1.16 Newcastle 2010-11 Before Pardew 1.19 Under Pardew 1.23 C.Palace 2014-15 Before Pardew 0.85 Under Pardew 1.72 At our club of course under him we only got 26 pts from 36 games in 2016.

Willo, I agree Pardew comes into a new club like an exocet missile (hope he does not have that impact tomorrow,though!!) and in time goes out like an old hard to light up firework,a dud!!

Also would like your opinion whether you think the word, "Pardewed" will ever enter the Oxford dictionary, under the meaning, "to take a football player and turn him from Maradona to large doner with fries, over the course of a football season".
