Is this an example of insightful comments of someone who attended the match?

I did attend and I have apologised twice for that reactionary comment thank you very much mr Keyboard warrior sir.

Possibly, but a lot of those who post on the match day thread won't ever be "back from the match" as they weren't there in the first place, for geographical or other reasons. Surely everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether they were there or not?

The thread title was never taken literally as most of the contributors probably weren't physically there but were still in a position to discuss what went on and why and whom etc

But I liked it because it gave people the opportunity to discuss things that went on at Selhurst away from the game. Like when the two girls ran on the pitch with their tits out against Barnsley.

Many of the comments are hardly worthwhile including such things as "geddin" and "Eagles" and "go Zaha" etc

Would it not be better to have a match thread including requests for streams as well as running commentary and go back to the old days of "Back from the match" for more insightful analysis

I'm sorry but if I get excited that we have just equalised I am going to post get in. Also it is quite fortunate that I was so excited when we scored at the end that I didn't post what I shouted out in happiness and relief.

It was good to see a game in which we weren't kicked off the park.

Stoke used to be dirty, like Huddersfield and Everton were against us this season.

They and we should be given credit for a clean game.

We used to use the chat room for stuff like that, cheering, swearing and pithy reactive comments. But nowadays when I go in there there's never anyone there except 'bots. It was a better online equivalent of being in the stand than the forum is.

Maybe a look at the design would help? Suppose for example you could bring up the chat room directly from the forum view, and if the chat room didn't take ages to load.

Discord seems to be the new thing at the moment, everybody seems to be using it for chat, apparently it's very simple to use (not tried it myself) browser based or client based. Originally made for gamers but reddit subs have been using it. Worth a thought mods?

Irony is that we played better against Everton and got a draw, in a game we deserved to win, and against Stoke probably a draw would have been a fair result, and we got the three points.

Poor officiating and silly errors are extremely punishing in this league, because the margins of quality are so much closer.

Had we played like we did against Everton, when we were a championship team, we'd have buried them by half time.

You may be right that it could do with more prominence and promotion

Get in there on a Sunday night when. Holradio is on.
