He is in that category. Many games he's done all he can and either no strikers or poor finishes or defending has cost us. The only error he's made was possibly subbing Wilf at Newcastle. Apart from that he's done great with a sh1t hand.

You can clearly see the level required under such an experienced manager. You make a mistake, you sit out waiting for your next chance. Also, considering that Benteke is out of form, and playing him means that wingers have to go for crosses, and the fact that Stoke is slow in defence, I think it makes sense to start this way, at least for the 1st half.

Really warming to Roy, it looks like he takes absolutely no s***e from anyone and is willing to make big calls on selection. Big game today, he will have spoken to Hennessey and would not play him if he didn't think he is up to it. I'm not a Hennessey fan but I will support him because we need him to play well. With regard to no Benteke, he may not be ready for 90 today and 90 Tues so my guess is he will come on late today and probably start Tues. COYP

Let's hope Wayne and Tomkins do well. As for Benteke im not suprised he's not starting yet. First he's not match fit for 90mins yet and second we've been playing very well without him. So don't rock the boat and make him earn his place back.
