No, it's not and it wasn't meant to be.

I do think punters should be educated as to what their little habits mean for some of the kind of girls they pay for.
I think people should have more class and care than to pay for sex and help fund what can be a ruthlessly exploitative enterprise.

I kind of agreed with this, but then I went to Amsterdam. Most of those girls are incredibly out of my league in any other scenario.

That's like paying for a title. It doesn't mean anything and what's worse, you probably have the clap and no money for dinner.

I don't.

You can't educate people out of wanting to fcuk the desirable. If they choose to pay for it then that's their problem......it's a pointless as trying to educate people out of drinking alcohol....all you are doing is creating repression and bigger problems in other areas.

Exploitation happens all the time....society is built upon exploitation.....you just don't like this form of it. Capitalism is built upon supply and demand...a need being supplied.

If a women doesn't want to work in the sex industry then they should have the means not too.....that I agree with.

Any suggestions over that telling others to live by your morality rather than their own. If they aren't hurting others they get to decide what to do with their own bodies and make money from it.

The sex industry has its place and it should be a regulated one.........far more harm is done by it being illegal.

People will always want to f*** the desirable but if we all did that as we pleased, most of us would be in jail. People are capable of restraint.
It's optimistic to think that you could ever stop the trade or the demand completely but I don't like the idea of encouraging it.
Mabye people should just be a little freer with their bodies generally and we could all f*** happily for free.

I've fcuked for free all my life. Mind you some relationships are just another form of exploitation ....Plenty just stay together for the lifestyle that the money provides them.....One is explicit and the other implicit. People stay together for lots of reasons...some noble some not so noble.

I understand your wish for some sexual stuff to be respected more than it is...not subject to commercialism You are perhaps a part of a group of people like that.....Nothing wrong with that.....purity has its place.

I certainly wouldn't want my daughter throwing it about like free sweets.....and I've no doubt that they wouldn't be.....but for me, personal agency is more important.

Some people are highly sexed and/or attractive and want to make money out of it. Fine by me....in its place...not shoved in everyone's face.

It's stopping the exploitation of those who don't want that but are made too......that's far more important.

Not really, its like having a one night stand without the hassle. Its a bit cold and business like, but very reasonably priced.

And I didn't get the clap either.

I just don't understand why people want to pay for sex or offer it for money.
I can see the practical aspects of it but sex ain't fun if it ain't earned and w***ing is a lot cheaper.

To have sex with total strangers on a regular basis for money must be dire. Working with the public can be a nightmare at the best of times, never mind shagging them.

The hassle is the game. Without the hunt, it is a turkey shoot.

Some people don't like the hassle, all the game playing. Nonsense.

I think the world would be a better place if people were 'freer with their bodies', at least those who are single.

Thing to remember with legalisation is that it doesn't solve the problem, it can only limit the impact of the problem, on those involved, and those who aren't. Its about taking back control of situations where the impact of a black market on society, have outweighed the benefits of a criminal justice solution.

Ideally, a society shouldn't really need to have laws regarding drugs (specifically Heroin and crack) and prostitution, and that those that exist could be addressed and curtailed through a social approach, rather than a criminal justice one.

If we legalise with the idea that alone solves the problem, we'll miss the point. We must be looking to give people in prostitution a way out, the same with drug addicts. Legalisation has to be a means to deal with a problem, not as a panacea to that problem.

Of course you are right. However, regulating is what opens up the possibility of achieving your second objective.

Take HMOs. People think they are a pointless bureaucracy and money making public scam. However, the reason people must pay for a licence is to ensure a property stuffed with usually poor folk is on the authority's radar. This enables it to ensure that a standard if quality and safe living conditions are maintained.

Similarly, make a brothel licensed and under regulatory control and the lifestyle issues can be attended to; and the toms can also be directed to education and other positive benefits.

Tis indeed a complex issue.
Prostitutes are likely to come from deprived areas, where drug use and robbery rates are above average.

The Free-Market approach is obviously not working.
Regulation, in some form, is probably a better option, or at least worth trying.

Though I have noticed an increased amount of 'Massage' adverts in local papers, which would seem to offer a bit more accountability and perhaps safety, as at least you have contact details of both parties
