The colour of royals is academic. We have accepted Germans as royalty for years with the odd Greek thrown in so a bit of African won't make a lot of difference. At this rate, White Europeans will cease to exist in a few centuries anyway. I'll be dead. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (28 Nov 2017 4.02pm) You're offended by the Hewitt rumour? Blimey, fighting for King, Queen and princes ended ages ago. The Royal family changed their German name so I'm not sure how accepting they thought the public were then. Germans in the royal family has been a bit of a joke for centuries. If people of colour was academic then there may have been inter racial swapsie marriages we could look back at over history instead of just French, Spanish, Russian or any Euro royals. But there isn't. They're all white. Would've been funny to see the Daily Mail and its readers' reactions if he was marrying a super model from Botswana. But I agree on the world and marriage changing. Edited by Rudi Hedman (28 Nov 2017 4.46pm)

Why would she start supporting Palace and Harry supporting Arsenal makes that and him supporting Palace even more unlikely. Who else should a true Royal support than "Palace" FFS?!! (Maybe Reading aka "The Royals", but they don't count!!)
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Not that I care for the royals but that is a slightly misleading fact. Doesn't Buckingham Palace open for roughly 60 days a year? I’d say that makes my point. Without Royal occupency, visitors figures and income would be massively increased. As an alternative though, the official residence, Windsor Castle, is open all year round and doesn’t even make the UK top 20 paid or free attractions. Paid interest in the Royal family and paid interest in Britains Royal heritage are two completely different things.

Dear Sirs, I'm not concerned in the slightest about her colour but I don't like the fact she comes from our colony where the treacherous rabble rebelled against their rightful rulers. Yours kindly Jacob Rees-Mogg

[Tweet Link] Yes indeed the Queen is Defender of the Faith and head of the C of E, but the general synod of the CofE has approved the marriage in church of divorcees, at the discretion of the priest and under the general guidelines that the two parties marrying should not have been the cause of the breakdown of the marriage(s). So there really is no problem with them marrying in church! Mind you, I think it would be pushing it a bit if she goes for the white lace frock.......
