It's a tricky one with Tekkers. The problem is we look more threatening without him in the starting 11. I just want him to start scoring for f***s sake, then we can get out of the bottom 3. How much time should he be given is another question? Another striker will be targeted in January for sure, does anyone think he will score by then?... If he doesn't put one away in the next 4 games, then it's got to be ta ta....

This thread is a fine example of why football professionals should ignore the opinions of fans. If Benteke hits some form, he will score us to safety. The issue is a lack of options. It is incomprehensible that we made such a balls up of signing another striker in the Summer. The other issue is that we have two wingers that want to play on the same side. We need someone for the other side. We signed Townsend because he was available, not because he was suitable. If we had a better balance then Loftus Cheek could play in the middle where he belongs.

This thread is a fine example of why football professionals should ignore the opinions of fans.

If Benteke hits some form, he will score us to safety.
The issue is a lack of options. It is incomprehensible that we made such a balls up of signing another striker in the Summer.
The other issue is that we have two wingers that want to play on the same side. We need someone for the other side. We signed Townsend because he was available, not because he was suitable. If we had a better balance then Loftus Cheek could play in the middle where he belongs.

But even a real one with bags of experience (Roy H) knows that your main striker can't go on forever without scoring. And Tekkers should really have scored at least 3 goals this season with the chances created. Still no goals before transfer window opens for the big man and we really should identify an other option up front! Price tag 30 mill. plus or not.....

Fair enough - easy to be a keyboard-manager! But even a real one with bags of experience (Roy H) knows that your main striker can't go on forever without scoring. And Tekkers should really have scored at least 3 goals this season with the chances created. Still no goals before transfer window opens for the big man and we really should identify an other option up front! Price tag 30 mill. plus or not.....

Do you have some inside knowledge that we are not privy to? Also sounds like you know more about football than our manager, but didn't you just say that professionals shouldn't listen to fans, or are you excluded from that?

How do you know why we signed Townsend. Do you have some inside knowledge that we are not privy to? Also sounds like you know more about football than our manager, but didn't you just say that professionals shouldn't listen to fans, or are you excluded from that?

That's the thing, a lot of fans on here have made some very valid points, which are most probably not too far away from what football professionals think.If Tekkers scores in the next 4 games he will go on and get a hat full, we all feel that. That is why i think he will get off the mark soon...

That's the thing, a lot of fans on here have made some very valid points, which are most probably not too far away from what football professionals think.If Tekkers scores in the next 4 games he will go on and get a hat full, we all feel that.
